Same here, never used specalist skills. I don't know names/what they do lol. Only one nq piece and that was ARM head my last one at 92%.

Did you just buy the favor mats to turn in with crafting scrips or did you actually do the favors yourself?
Little of both. With as much diadem and a little helper I have, pink items turned in for physical items then buy remainder on market to craft an item. Steel to round up on favor items to have an even set to turn in with crafting scrips.
I used the specialist skills quite a bit while leveling to 60, but not so much now.
However, Heart of the [Crafter] seems like a complete waste at this time. Why would I bother grinding blue scrips to buy delineations, just so I can spend 45 CP on an ability that's basically a sidegrade from other existing abilities but with more randomness added?
Somewhat dreading what they'll end up doing for 3*/4* if it's anything like what they did for 3*/4* before, with the items that take 9k quality and you basically needed a byregots on good to get a decent HQ rate.... with the current good/excellent rate as it is.
As currently exists, I don't see how HotC could be a must. It just sucks. Tell me why I want a non-guaranteed chance at a good for 45 CP when I could spend 50 CP on Ingenuity II+Innovation?
I could understand it if it was like 2.x 3*/4*, where abilities that previously seemed pointless (e.g. PbP) became useful because the recipe level correction (progress/quality) got boosted to insanity. The problem is that you specifically want Ingenuity II in the case of skewed difficulty anyway.
HotC really needs one of the following:
a) very low/no CP cost; delineation-only (i.e. straight P2W crafting)
b) get rid of delineation requirement (but really, this doesn't even fix much)
c) guaranteed Goods (instead of "increased chance")
d) chance for Excellent instead of chance for Good
In fact, I'm surprised SE didn't go with D in the first place. Since HotC is a specialist action, SE could just ramp up quality total to require an Excellent (and in 3.5, GS+Excellent) for HQ. That would be a lot more elegant than their new Specialist recipe crutch.
And I have all 8 specialists across 3 characters. It is definitely noticeable when trying to craft the same thing with similar gear without specialist actions.
tbh I'd post a guide but I'm enjoying the "these are useless" posts on OF so much and don't want to jinx us out of them getting buffed.
I have 6/8.
The point is, they are really unneded. There is nothing you cant craft without them, and still achieve HQ. Im curious tho, how many steps would you take for a 1 star HQ craft? Can you macro it? Not askin for your rotation, just wondering. Seems like it´d be way too many steps.
T4 Master books are specalist go figure.
Difficulty/Min stat requirements. About shit my pants at what stats were needed then looked at my GSM and noticed it was bumped. Forgot specalist get a boost now.
850/820 for 3* lolz, time to get off my lazy ass and make&meld the 2* sets
I only used T4's, control/cp will break the bank unless you have airship abuse
What are mats for Max Potions of <inserthere>
pref strength
How does one get the tier 4 books?
700ish blue scrips
710, and 127 for the main stat HQ
Powdered Merman Horn.. I have no idea what that is, but Duskborne Aethersands aren't bad. I have a ton of those. Nice.
Do you need Red Quartz for any of the new recipes? They're going for tons and I have a ton of them.
Also is the Orchestrion specialist CRP only?
CPR only, Quartz probably for blue script turn ins, and powder is obtained from blue scrip vendor.
