    This is hardly necessary.

Your class quest tool, an NQ militia off hand (should really spend the money on HQ, it's a much larger boost than HQing any piece of AF) NQ AF with no melds, and an NQ/HQ raptorskin belt will easily put you over 255 control.

More is always better but if you don't need to spend a fortune if you're just looking for a starting point.

edit: I'm actually at 319/300 craft/control with no AF (putting it off as long as possible because fucking hell gearing up 7 crafts)

    Food.

I was close once I hit level 50, I believe I was 9 Control Away. No HQ AF at the time, the only AF I had was the boots from finishing the level 50 GSM Quest. I might have had Militia Offhand as well, can't remember for sure.

I just wanted to make my own AF Hat to wear. Got lucky and HQ'd it on a 7% HQ Rate lol.

So far Im armorer 30, and realized that is indeed useless to cross class.
Now Alc 15, Cul 15, and working on weaver, 14 already.
    I was thinking Goldsmith next?
In terms of level 15 skills, in my opinion:

ALC CRP CUL are absolutely essential.

GSM LTW WVR are quite useful, but you could do just fine without them if you didn't want to level them for some reason (though I'd still definitely recommend it).

BSM is useful at 50, but you probably won't ever need it until then.

    ARM is almost completely useless.

Has anyone worked out the optimal way to HQ 50** gear?

I have WVR and ALC at 50, so I'm trying to figure out what else I need to level.

    Wow.. .

ALC CRP and CUL are the only DoH.... I don't have at 40+

I'm trying to figure how to consistently HQ Linen Yarn currently level 40 WVR
    Craftsmanship 235
    Control 217

Currently I'm at lvl 15. And I can Hq all those basic materials such as bronze ingot and etc.
    With steps below:
    Steady hands
    3 x basic touch
    Masters mend
    2 x basic touch
    Basic Synthesis x2 if needed

I'm trying to make macro to include these steps
Problem in game is their macro line limited to 15 lines only...(wasn't limited in beta 3)

Since I need to add /wait time between each steps...
    My question here :

    Is this line working?

    /Action "Steady Hand" <wait 3>

This <wait 3> works in FF11, I was wondering can I save lines from waiting time macro?

I can't find a full list of available macro guide / explanation.

No (and that didn't work in FF11 either, unless they added that after I quit playing). You have to do something like:

    Code:
    /ac "Steady Hand" <me>
    /wait 2
    /ac "Basic Touch" <me>
    /wait 3
    /ac "Basic Touch" <me>
    /wait 3
This means that, yes, if you have more than 8 actions it will take multiple macros that you'll have to cycle through in sequence.

Won't have a good HQ rate until 44 more than likely, 40 durability synths are tough until gear gets a bit better (as well as having another ability at 45).

Don't need HQ Linen though, can 100% HQ any 80 durability synth from 35ish.

Yes, they added into FF11 like last year or year before.
And damn.., why SE limited out macro lines to 15? lol

    Thanks for confirming that.

I don't know how but I managed to get a high HQ rate after I posted this and went from 40-49 in 3 hours @_@

Not sure if this is a useful data point, but on 50** synths with 359 craftsmanship, I get 51 progress when using Careful Synthesis II and 93 progress with Careful Synthesis II + Innovation Ingenuity I.

I also added the progress and quality formulas to the OP.

Do you mean Ingenuity? Unless Control started effecting progress randomly.

  15. #255

I assume so, Innovation doesn't have tiers and they both start with I.

Has anyone figured out how to HQ 50** reliably yet?

I'm getting 50* with NQ mats to around 25% HQ rate (50% quality) consistently, but I don't want to try Vanya if there's some way to get a higher HQ rate.

    Sorry, I did mean Ingenuity.

If you can't reliably HQ 50* with NQ mats, HQ on 50** is probably out of your reach.

Any idea what to focus on for weavers 35-40 to sell? I'd like to make some money to pay for additional materials and I was wondering what are the more frequently purchased items you guys are selling.

I'm curious about some of the optimization people have in their rotations to be 100%ing one stars reliably.

    For 40 dura synths:

Comfort Zone -> Inner Quiet -> Steady Hand II -> Hasty Hand until 20 dura -> Manipulation -> [repeat cycle until CP depletes to the critical point] -> Great Strides -> Ingenuity II -> Byregot's -> Careful II to finish

-Always use TotT when it's up, as long as you're using Manip at 20 dura you will never waste a turn of it even when picking up TotTs, never use Hasty without Steady II, burning Steady II turns activating TotT is not a problem at all.
-With Ingenuity II and enough Craft it should only take 1 Careful II to complete.

    For 80 dura:

Comfort Zone -> Inner Quiet -> Steady Hand II -> Hasty Hand until 20 dura -> Master's Mend II -> [continue steady-hasty until dura/CP depletes to the critical point] -> Great Strides -> Ingenuity II -> Byregot's -> Careful II to finish.

-Pretty much the same, TotT at every opportunity, Master's Mend instead of Manip as it's more efficient, I've never had a second mend be necessary.
-With Ingenuity II and enough Craft it should take 2 Careful IIs to complete.

edit: Inner Quiet not Innovation, fix'd
