What's better for bard? Straight shot gives a 10% crit chance so maybe I should focus on the one with the most crit? But high dex is probably better overall. I have no idea, any input?

The last shouldn;t even be an option as it is worse off than everything. You'd be down to 5 DEX of 5 crit; the first two options.

Has it been noted that BRD does indeed receive the effects of their own Ballad?

I remember people saying that BRD received all of their own song effects save Ballad, I just got around to pounding out the ARC/BRD quests and noticed it wasn't true.

And how did you determine that? I just tested it, and I got back 116MP/tick without Ballad and 116MP/tick with it.

The only thing I can think of is that the MP regen tick is the same as the Ballad perp tick, which kind of makes sense, I suppose; Paeon and Requiem have a 133 perp cost, while Ballad's perp cost is only 80.

Still... in practice, that is indistinguishable from "Ballad has a lower perpetuation cost than the other two songs."

Ballad while unengaged is a net positive gain in MP, Paeon is a net negative.

Unless I'm missing something here.

I would do any DL piece with crit+ first. I did belt first, but the order after that is generally pretty fluid / not a big deal outside of hands/legs. I would save Hands and Legs for last or not even get them if you're far enough along on your relic progress to skip right to Bard's legs / hands (Toxotes for the meanwhile). Pisses me off because I fucking hate these tights (Toxotes does not exist apparently), but DL hands / legs swap crit for accuracy, and Bard's goes back to crit. I haven't done B Coil yet so I don't have a perspective on accuracy there, but my inclination is that crit+ is best where you can optimize it.

Damage Buffs are multiplicative so stacking them is the best scenario.

It looks like Paeon also affects the BRD singing it now, too. Using Paeon + Sprint in town gives you non-x00 TP numbers.

Yeah, I confirmed this for myself yesterday when I was spamming rain of death. I wonder if the ability to use more high tp cost aoe abilities can actually overcome the 20% damage reduction.

Am I correct that gears wise :->

Level90 Artifact > Darklight > Artifact and or Crafted HQ?
Is there any missing bit?

And also, does anyone test/ find out any possible way to make Wind/ venomous Bite crit during DoT, post level 48?

I'm in love with River of Blood, and keeping up both bites all the time now. Less macro more button smashing though...

What's the effect on determination for bard? I'm considering giving up 7 determination for 3 dex 5 crit

From SE description, determination affect dmg dealt, however, many people find that this isn't important than Dex, Crits, acc.

It effects all damage and healing effects, it's essentially a catch-all stat used to supplement the primary stats for damage/healing and allow a workaround for stat caps when adding materia.

Point for point it's less effective than the primary stat (in BRD's case DEX).

Ding 50 last night.
Hmm... Just a friendly remind to new player who are working hard on getting their lvl 50 as first job.
Once you ding 50, all your quest/ Fate will give no more exp.
At level 50, your exp bar shown 0/562000. With all story quest or fate or normal quest, give you 0 exp.
If you are considering 2nd job to level, you might want to bring it up to your storyline quest level. So that all your story line quest exp wont go to trash...

I'm at last 2 dungeon on my MSQ... And I'm a bit hesitating to go with my BRD 50, since each quest is giving you 10 to 13k exp. it's really a big waste

I have some Bard questions as well since I hit 50:

How legit is the Rain of Arrows debuff? Should I keep that in a rotation and up on shit like Primals and Bosses at all times?

What about Foe Requium. I can never really decide when it's a good time to keep any of my songs up really, except for the obvious ballad when mages are getting low.

Is there any way to see TP of the party. I feel like Paeon would help with Tanks TP some but I can't fucking see who has what, man is that annoying.
