Tank runs in a circle one way, DD run in a circle the opposite way. It was completely painless, aside from the loss of dignity.

Oh lol. Can't ranged DDs stay at one spot and nuke as needed? Does this prevent the tanks from being hit at all?

Ranged/healers still get to hang out in the back as normal. Tank only took a few hits the whole time and we only lost a DRG once because he apparently didn't read any chat and had no idea why Hydra kept spinning.

I'm kind of a noob WAR. I would lag behind the PLD tank when we did Hydra and he would eat a full on Triumvirate when running back from Terror Circle D: But we survived.

I was wondering if there is a specific link to a Relic Reborn guide - or an update to the OP with information regarding it. I unfortunately do not have the time to sift through this thread and am hoping there is compiled data somewhere.

If you use two tanks, no, it does not prevent the circle from spawning on the one with less hate. It doesn't really matter where people stand as long as they all stand together. Red circle spawns, all 6 non-tank people move just outside the edge of it, 2nd red circle comes a few seconds later, you do the same thing. It lets you control the circle placement and maximize open arena space. The reason most people stack on its side is because you typically aren't using all BRD/BLM/SMN for DPS; if you did, you could stand anywhere and just move clockwise or counterclockwise around the edge of the arena.

It's not really required, but it's not hard to do either.

Finally killed hydra with a jp group this morning 1/1. Amazing how quick and easy it is when you have decent players and a tank that doesn't get one shot. Having a macro from one of the players(tank?) with a call sound to signal when fear itself was being used made the fight a cake walk.

this was my hydra experience this morning, these subsequent relics are going to be a real pain in the dick.. people wearing total shit in most of the groups I've joined

lol. Dude, someone in my ls was in a titan DF and they had a bard with a lv 46 bow. Bard died like first weight of the land and they disbanded. Honestly the gear check can't come fast enough.

On Titan myself but sadly still using Ifrit's spear so I need to farm garuda and get that spear + a couple more pieces of gear before I feel comfortable enough.

We got it to 5% with everyone but me using Ifrit wep (I was using Garuda axe), prob coulda had it if people didnt fuck up bombs+landslide at end. Relic MNK friend ended up coming along and we wrecked it after that. WAR, 2x WHM, SCH, DRG, MNK and 2x BRD. If you went 5x DPS route Ifrit would prob be fine imo but every little helps.

Only thing you need to worry about dps for is the heart. After that it's all a dodge game and healing through tumult. Usually get wiped at tumult or mountain buster. Problem is the stupid ass douche bags that que up and try to tank titan with their ilv 55/60 gear. Go get some gear before you plan on main tanking something that hits for 4k on a normal basis and stop wasting everyone's time.
