Isn't 7 considered the worst of the series?

This kickstarter really wants me to go back and play the MM Anniversary collection again but at least for MM2 there is a horrible delay between hitting the jump button and it actually going off, especially on falling blocks

I believe that dubious honor goes to 6, not 7. 6 was a boring rehash—7 at least added nicer graphics. Neither was particularly remarkable. 8 wasn't much of an improvement, either. 6, though, was responsible for the start of the decline. MM1-5 were good games, 3 being my personal favorite (and Keiji Inafune's least favorite).

The X series was definitely an absolutely necessary evolution.

    Necessary and freakin' awesome.
I don't care what anyone says... X vs Zero in X5 was the best moment in any Megaman game.

And don't forget 7 had probably the best (and darkest) ending out of the classic series.

    Obligatory game footage incoming.

    Also, for your aural enjoyment:

    Spoiler: show
One of the comments on the OC ReMix video is "I totally know what I'm fighting for now thanks to this remix," and I have to say that it's one of the best comments anyone could have ever made.

In case anyone doesn't understand why...

    Spoiler: show

I have Megaman Battle Network 2 as my ringtone.

I also own every game they made in English and the art book which I got autographed by Inafune at PAX when I got my Mighty #524 shirt... >_>

I think MM8 is the most underrated. I loved that game.

Between that, the Cutman and Woodman boss fights, and the horrendous voice acting, I really can't remember anything from MM8.

    So much rage from that.....

It was even worse in the 1st Wily stage.

    Jump! Jump!
    Slide! Slide!
    Fuck! Off!

Definitely one I'll likely never touch again along with X7.

Seriously, it's the best version of him, don't know why they ditched this direction for 9, 10. Mega Ball > all

How the fuck is MM3 his least favorite? That shit was revolutionary. I remember being 8 or some shit and going back to those fucked up levels after beating all the robot masters and freaking the fuck out. That was so damn cool for it's time. With the MM2 bosses you pretty much had 16 robot masters to fight.

Also I'm proud of all of you for turning this into a Megaman music thread.

I dunno, I loved the menu music in MM2.

Anyway, donated 80 dollars for both 60 dollar packages and beta access. Hyped as hell.

What? I friggin loved 6. Seriously. Tomahawk had one of the best tracks in the franchise IMO:

As for 7. I know a lot of people hated the ending because of Mega Man actually threatening to kill Wily. For me I never go that far. The game just felt "clunky" to me when compared to the X series.

Oh shit it's at 3.3mil plus the 115k from Paypal. At 3.4 mil we might get the 3.5mil checkpoint for vita/3ds release.

Or maybe even the 3.7 goal of playing as Call. As much as I love the Megaman games, having different characters to play as is something I'm a fan of. Even if it's just aesthetics. I like stupid stuff like that.
