Server transfers?

Yeah, I wouldn't mind a server transfer. Stuck on Ragnarok from 1.0 atm which is where all my XI friends were when we played 1.0. Problem being that they are all friends from when I lived in the UK. So now I live in the US I have very little playtime crossover with them.

My own fault really for hoping our playtime overlap would be better than what it is and not taking a transfer when it was offered.

Only negative in this post is people on Legacy servers cannot transfer to new servers, which is what I was expecting.

Does that include non-legacy characters on a legacy server?

EDIT: Just read the translated post and it pretty much seems like it's confirmed. So much for hoping to jump on Leviathan. Any FCs on legacy servers recruiting that just started endgame?

Yes. Non-Legacy characters can transfer to Legacy servers. Just not the other way around.

If that's the case you will get banned. Since they are ban happy for anybody who is found exploiting

Kind of sucks since all my friends went to Exodus during the server blackouts and now I can't join them since I'm Legacy =/

Yeah, I am non legacy but most of my buddies from XI are legacy and we are all on a Legacy JP server, which is full of lovely polite and helpful JP players but recruiting long-term not exactly gonna be easy. I do enjoy the JP players though, they tend to be super nice.

Not that any of this has mattered this week. Freaking work means I haven't had time even to log in.

MMO rl > IRL. Bah.

Friend has a unique dilemma, he was a legacy member but did not start playing again until this last Saturday when he subbed up for ARR. He was stuck on our previous server and has been trying since then to transfer over to our new one and keeps getting the site is under maint. or there was an error mesaage. (I have sat next to him at the same time and had no issues getting past that part acting as if I am transfering one of my JP beta characters to our current server) Going through the server transfer guidelines we made sure to get all of his stuff off of CalamityNPC, rehired his retainer, nothing on boards, he doesnt have inn access yet so hes logged out in town. He's going from a Legacy to Legacy server and he has no other characters on the destination world (entry account).

The only thing we can think of is that one of the guidelines says the account must be older then 3 days to transfer.... Are they considering a 1.0 account newer then 3 days because he just subbed and started ARR on Saturday? If so i'm worried he wont make the free transfer deadline, it says it ends tomorrow at 1am (didnt see timezone specified) and he didnt sub up til around 8pm cst Saturday. Anyone have any other suggestions on what it might be?

Nothing new so ATM is still what they said during beta so about 6 months after release

Hey, if the two characters eventually end up on the same server, we can have a Double Indemnity episode where they kill off one another / the rest of the LS / identical twin hot babe action / merge into a particularly nasty version of Shantotto and bring the server to its knees.

Could be pretty entertaining.

Gil (1 million gil per character, 100 thousand gil per retainer)

That's interesting. Wasn't it originally 3mil character, 1mil per retainer? Pretty steep drop.
