My wallet hit them in the side of the head last week. I reckon it'll stay there, attached to their face, for awhile.
Didn't want to get addicted. Already addicted. I'm staying.
I paid for the 90. Honestly don't know if i'll make it that long. Love the game. Already have Goldsmith to 50 and more gil then I probably ever need. Already tired of farming 3 dungeons for tomes to get more darklight gear before I finish relic. I'll be done that with in the week... then what, farm dungeons with a weekly limit to upgrade everything again.
Like I said: great game, but don't see it holding my interest for an extended period of time. Especially not multiple years that ffxi did.
Ohhhhhh shit! I thought for sure we weren't getting discounts on top of the existing discount!
subbed 180 days, I'm very happy with how much content is just thrown at me, with plenty of content to learn and tackle head on. I was on the fence when they were having catastrophic server issues that made logging into the game a chore rather just a normal experience like it is right now. I would hate to be anyone that has everything level 50 starting up in this game, and having their relics for their favorite jobs, all they seem to have going for them is just coil and making gil which is arguably worth not even having because it holds almost no value.
Really didn't take a second thought.
They did such a fucking good job fixing this game, I feel like they deserve it. Even better though I am having tons of fun, so no reason not to.
subbed for 90 days. Only real grip is that there is only one end game spam dungeon. Other than that they did a great job and I know they will fix the AK spam issue
Even with 90% of my classes already at 50, I haven't had 1 second of downtime so far. Not to mention, $8/mo is a fucking deal for what they managed to pull out of their asses in such little time. I can't imagine getting to a point where I have nothing left to do for a long time... and with 2.1 coming in a couple months... I'm damn happy with this game.
180-days GET.
I've subbed for 180 days. Really enjoying the game.
Yup in there for 90-day /Legacy.
So for you guys doing 90-days... are you doing 90 because you don't know if you'll still care after 3 months, or some other reason? 180-day is cheapest, so I'm curious.
don't care to put down 80$ for a game in one sitting? Ive never done more than Month to month before (even when I played WoW for a few years). Only reason I'm doing 90 days now is because of the veteran rewards, but even if i have every intention of playing XIV for 10 years, I still won't...
Well for the past few days they seem to of shut up, thus they shall be taking my monies, only doing month to month since im a lolpoorperson but for what they've managed it is well deserved and since i still have a boat load of shit still to do may aswell stay and see where they take it.
Probably not, they are handling the game in what as a studying game designer I consider abhorrent and horrible and it's been a few years I don't understand how can they have such a big company and work so horribly.
For me it's a matter of standards:
1)Their support is DOWN RIGHT HORRIBLE.Worst I've ever seen, even ea support in a couple days fixed my issues in swtor, s-e from november couldn't fix my issue in another game, they don't answer to tickets, if they do it's stock responses/no clue on what they say about the matter.2hrs wait at the phone and it's a paid line on the other side of the world, their live chat is a joke.Strike one I'd say here, I don't want to pay just to find out in 2 days the game is bugging on me and support won't help.
2)They copied other games and FAILED to do so properly, this is a subpar modern mmo sadly...a few examples: the duty finder has no kick options, there's a 30 limits dot that could bite dot classes in the rear if they don't fix it before adding big raids, their combat system is sluggish and since they failed to provide a decent service for plenty of users(let's remember a 32 pages topic on r0 lag with people from N.A. in it, so it's not just me and some eu guys), they failed to fix the duty finder yet, since people have 120 min queues still...I could go on for hours on how they tried to modernize their game by copying wow and failing in terms of pure design it's just hilarious.
3)Their communications are barely present: no answer in the most important topics in the forums, are you kidding me? Even other games at release had more info on wtf is happening, they barely communicate.I find this aspect fundamental, I don't want to find out it's "working as designed" in a couple weeks...
I could see myself trying MAYBE at best 1 month since I'm always up for another chance(remember this is their second one, they failed horribly 1.0 already), but it's definitely their last straw of hope for me, they just failed too many obvious things...
I'm also personally sour due to my previous square enix experiences and having a high set of standards which most people don't agree with, that's fine, you probably guys are enjoying it more than me, also my personal qualms with the game are a heavy factor being one of the unlucky few that besides 4 a.m. can't even properly play without a 4 sec delay, so...I'm definitely on the "nope, this is subpar to anything else I have access for" but still, TRYING to enjoy it, even if square is just doing everything they can to not make me.I'm definitely sad that it ended this way, I had high hopes I could stop playing other games to get into this but it isn't happening right now...
This is the only correct answer.
I usually see account stuff happen in the very early morning hours the day of, like 4am (EST) or so. Although enough has changed with how they handle things that if it was different from here on out that wouldn't really surprise me.
Same reason I bought the Before Meteor OST. I want to support SE and I want the goods to keep coming.
