A whm in my fc ran into this, quite possibly the same guy. We figured it's a brilliant plan to get yourself kicked since the dps sucked. Basically like a troll gear set. Hopefully, anyway.

I admit, levelling DRK right now and when I was first setting my cross class abilities I nearly chose Flash. Then I remembered DRK has its own version of it.

When leveling drk I had to make macros for new people go through that dungeon cause they were all sorts of stupid.

It was either "Get the fuck out! <noise>" or "Get the fuck in! <diffnoise>"

That's really only useful if you already know that Ram's is blue+ice, and Dragon's is purple+lightning.

You mean like "The chimera's eyes glow purple"? The only thing I can remember that text popping up for is the Catoblepas boss in Halatali Hard, but granted I probably haven't done Chimera (for relic) in nearly two years.

Unless I somehow have it filtered, it definitely doesn't show up when you fight Allagan Chimeras in Fractal Continuum.

It doesn't show up in Fractal, you have to watch for the cast bar. But it does tell you in Cutter's Cry. "The chimera's eyes glow violet" etc.

Which I almost never notice when those words pop up. My eyes are on my hotbar or my character to dodge AOEs.

In related news I spent about an hour and a half in CC today because the healer and dps in my party couldn't survive the chimera (even though they all knew the mechanics). I really don't understand where the disconnect happens when you know the mechanics and still get hit by them 50%+ of the time.
