Why? Just have it auto hide. It'll pop up with any notifications and you can hit your windows key to bring it up if you need it.

Like xopher said, FFXIV set to "Borderless Windowed" but with your taskbar set to popup[autohide] or have your window sized smaller than your desktop in borderless windowed mode and drag the game window high enough to display your window's task bar at the bottom.

You can't adjust the size of the game window in borderless windowed mode.

Personal preference. I multitask better with it showing up at all times, which is important with something like an MMO which runs for hours along with other applications. I'd rather have it behave just as one application more, but I would like getting rid of the title bar. But let's not turn this into a discussion about UI usability, shall we?

And as Niiro said you cannot change the size of borderless windowed, already tried that.

Yep, I set my size outside of borderless windowed mode, in the section where you define what size you want the window. I guess I wrote it to look like borderless windowed mode was where you set it, sorry bout that confusion.

Never got that on my monitor... I played warcraft in window mode for... insane hours (maxed character slots, all Lv80 wotlk, all max crafts +gathering of all kinds + raiding on several characters to pass time) o_O

I'm not sure how much borderless window would be useful to use though if it was reiszable, it tends to have 1 of 2 issues I've seen with other borderless programs.

1. Your mouse is "forced" to stay within the window (even when you tab out of it)
2. You can accidentally click objects outside of the window, like say your turning in ffxiv and dragging your mouse off the side, and instead of turning, your dragging a icon on your desktop as you get raped ingame >.>

This doesn't happen in window mode, but borderless it tends to happen... (rage inducing in hentai games, and not just in the pants) o_O

Got a Pharos Sirius in roulette this morning. Had a PLD (Curtana Zenith, generally good-looking gear but mostly mythology/DL) tell me, for the first time ever, to stop DPSing on SCH because I generate too much hate. I just kept doing it and he didn't complain beyond that (and generally made an effort to keep hate once he knew I wouldn't stop). Just a first for me to hear that.
