This is year of the penguin and the show cast the right man for it.
I don't see why the hate is there on the shows use of the characters so far.
The riddler is only really as far explained as his choice of talking in riddles, not much else is there. He has plenty of room to expand and grow into the villain.
Cat girl has time to grow up, I think their point is to show her skills started from now, she's got plenty of time to evolve into who she becomes.
Fish though, for a made up character Jada Smith is doing a hard job bringing herself into t the spotlight. She's the typical bad mobster but in a woman's body. I don't care for her character too much, but do give credit to her on playing it as well as she does.

i dont think anybody on the show is doing a very good job with the material aside from the penguin. granted, the writing is horrendous so that has a lot to do with it, but none of the performances are good, and jada pinkett's is pretty bad and one note. i'm a donal logue fanboy but even he isn't doing anything on this show, and that makes me sad

Wait wat? Wasn't Catwoman 'born' when she was thrown from the rooftop by whatshisface? She was fucking 30 (give or take) and resurrected by a bunch of cats. I don't buy all this shit I've read about her being Catwoman or the bruce kid 'testing' himself w/ flames, give me a fucking break lol.

What was it that they were tying to 'show'? I saw it once when I was like 10, so feel free to refresh my mem. Also, it doesn't matter which story, universe, version, w/e they are using; they are tying too damn hard to remind you THIS TAKES PLACE IN A BATMAN UNIVERSE. If they had the Waynes alive and kicking, I'd be watching this shit.

Dude it's from the same movie series where Batman kills the Joker, the Penguin was a mutant raised by penguins, and RUBBER NIPPLES. Try not to read too much into the Burton films. They're good fun with epic visual style, but re-imagine a lot of stuff from the comics.
