Possible 2.2 WHM BIS? (Was lazy and got SCH and WHM at same time so just look for (WHM)

    WHM weapon

    Allagan (115) > Yagrush (110) > Weathered Yagrush (100) > Allagan Cane (95)

    Shield

Tidal Wave (If no allagan Weapon)

    SCH Weapon

    Allagan (115) > Book of Diamonds (110) > Tidal Wave (100)

    Head
    Daystar (WHM and SCH)

    Body

High Allagan Coat (WHM) Daystar (SCH)

    Gloves

    Daystar (WHM and SCH)

    Wrist
Daystar (WHM) , High Allagan (SCH)

    Belt

    Daystar (SCH), High Allagan (WHM)

    Legs Daystar (SCH and WHM)

    Feet

    Daystar (WHM), High Allagan (SCH)

    Ring

Daystar and High Allagan (WHM and SCH)

    Neck

    Ribbon (WHM and SCH)

    Earring

    Daystar (WHM), High Allagan (SCH)

Will try to do a Spreadsheet or something

If you're not interested in spell speed, I wonder if the Yagrush beats the high-allagan... Is 22 Det > 2 DMG? Nah, probably not.

    No

    Cuz 5 det = 1 mnd iirc

    So 22 d'être = average 4 mnd

    1 magic dmg = average 8 mnd

    So 2 magic = 16 mnd

    my 'Spreadsheet'

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...Hc&usp=sharing

    As you see

    Yagrush + Buckler DMG 75 :VIT 55 MND 53 PIE 42 DET 22 ACC 11 SS 8 Water Resistance 5

    High Allagan Crook DMG : 77, VIT : 47, MND: 45. SS : 46, PIE: 24, ACC:9

But if 1 Magic DMG = 8 MND
and 5 DET = 1 MND Crook still wins

    Feel free to comment

Yagrush is 2-handed. Tidal Wave/Wave Wand is 1-handed.

With DET focus, pretty much what I got also. Personally, I'm gonna aim for High Allagan legs over Daystar because it doesn't cost 825 soldiery. Good thing about WHM, while certain secondaries are nice, it won't make or break you.

Some stuff can change and that mostly count on what Allagan drop on what turn /difficulty to get to that turn

Definitely. Also can't go wrong with Weapon > VIT > Others. I'm glad as WHM main, most BiS aren't soldiery pieces like SCH.

I would say yes. Crit/Speed on the Daystar is a weird combo, but I'd still think Crit + anything (even Speed) outweighs Det/PIE for SCH. I'd say the reverse for WHM, especially considering the later Coils could likely be pretty MP-intensive with AoE heals.

Makes me sad most of the Daystar non-accessories are crit-leaning. Guess I'll save for Yagrush instead and avoid the FATE-grinding of doom for 2.2.

How are you guys doing your soldiery upgrades? I think I'm going to start off with legs this week to get them out of the way and then start filling out the right side.

Since Yagrush is a no for me atm (no idea when we will do T7)

I'll go Circlet then Gloves then ring

I'm doing accessories first, got ring over the weekend and doing ear next, then wrist. Playing it by ear after that, I'll probably save for Yagrush after that but depends on Coil progression. Otherwise hands are probably first on my list after that depending on what Allagan stuff drops, then head if I get that far without seeing drops.

The caveat to the new Soldiery items compared to High Allagan is the requirement of Sands/Oil of time to get it to equal level. So essentially you need 2 upgrades (Soldiery + a coil drop) to reach the equivalent of the High Allagan. For that reason, I'm only spending Soldiery right now on Daystar stuff I consider without a doubt BiS for WHM. The only things I put in that category are Ring (since there's no alternative), Earring, and Wrist. Probably hands too, but since the High Allagan drops from T6 I'm holding off for now in the hopes we get a drop.

Head and feet are close too, but head looks too sweet to pass up, and feet are T6. Of course, no clue where head drops from, if it's T9 I could see getting Daystar Circlet earlier.

I'm about to try it for the first time myself after going as DRG the last couple nights. One of the keys seems to be keeping people topped off with Medica II, since there's some bursty potential damage from mines. There's essentially no risk of pulling hate from adds or anything like that, so 100% uptime for HoT's seems like a good plan. Keeping the tether/brainjack person as high as possible looks to be key, much like the kiter in T7 - especially if the tether move is coming around the same time as Defensive. As long as people are stacked properly, hitting everyone with Cure III post-Defensive should be easy enough. Stoneskin on Allagan field person. E4E/spammy cures on the tank when Dread is up (though they should have all CD's up there as well).

I'm strongly considering changing all my macros to mouseover so I can smack the boss with my stick while healing I do it already on SCH so shouldn't be much of an adjustment.

There's def risk of pulling hate off adds if you single tank.

I SCH'd the fight, but WHM doesn't seem bad. You know when the damage is happening a good 30 seconds before it actually happens. To be honest, WHMing that fight seems pretty heavily dependent on how your SCH plays their job.
