hit her twice and watch her explode
Map awareness is the easiest way to deal with nova, and hugging minions. Nothing like watching her hit a minion/merc with a snipe that was ment to kill you.
Also if anyone has any interest in the competitive scene ESL season 2 playoffs are on right now 7:00 pst. http://www.twitch.tv/esl_heroes
I'll watch some, I like watching LoL matches, and now that I know what's going on I'll check it out.
Thanks for the tips on Nova she was wrecking our team lol.
Idk if it still applies day, but from when we played I noticed you favor characters with low hp. Nova specializes in ruining their day, no pun intended. She hurts tanky characters too, but not nearly as much.
Nova's the assassin/healer/most specialist class killer
Zera's like the anti nova.
To a lesser extent, so is Tyrael. Once he finds Nova, he sticks like glue.
Did someone say #1 player killer?
Was wondering how long it would take.
Hurray, me and two friends were doing some QM matches, Johanna(friend 1) Jaina (friend 2) and Nova (me). We were steamrolling for like 5 matches because we got good support, but then for like the past 3-4 matches, we just get shit back ups, while we kept using the same setups. Got the Mines, Pirate and then Garden twice in a row.
Tassadar is the Anti-Nova/Zeratul/Zagara because Oracle OP
I thought Uther was pretty lame, I still do, but holy shit I love stunning people and then having Zeratul+Nova destroy them.
Just sucks when EVERYONE needs healing and I'm like "ok, now what".
5 with all this week's free heroes.
Liked: Raynor, Tyrael, Rehgar
Liked but not that good at: Sylvanas
Disliked: Uther, Jaina, Muradin
That's when you suicide and spam flash heal, assuming your teammates don't all run away from you (this seems to happen in QM a lot).Just sucks when EVERYONE needs healing and I'm like "ok, now what".
That is why I get the upgrades on Oracle when I see stealthers (longer duration, significantly lower cd) so it gives away they were near and for team to be weary (especially nice late game when roaming around together, she joins the fray later or is immediately jumped by someone. Not to mention his shield is lawl to the ult. Force Wall is pretty good if your team doesn't need the damage to make them be like "welp, I'm dead".
anyone here play abathur?
^ I haven't played as Abathur, but this guy here makes me like him.
One thing to keep in mind as hatbug (and Lost Vikings also) is to split up. A lot of bad Abas sit at base and then just control minions in one lane, or sit in a lane and control minions in that same lane. It's kind of a waste.
Park at a lane, put hat on another lane. Last-hits from your bugs award EXP, I think your hat control acts as another soak (or maybe you need to last-hit?), and your body might be in soak range. It's the poor man's Vikings but with a 4s cooldown instant teleportation kind of. Great for finishing some people off.
Evolve Monstrosity is pretty good too from what I've seen. Not the best thing to bring to a fight because it's squishy but if you can survive and harass their team, the monstrosity can bust down some forts in another lane pretty well with minion support.
A melee hero like Illidan or most warriors are good hat targets since they'll naturally be more inclined to get up in people's grills. But jumping around to wherever needed is one of Aba's strengths.
Last hits from your bugs basically don't ever actually happen so it's not really a means of soaking lane. You can hide Abathur in a bush in lane to efficiently soak one lane whilst symbioting elsewhere on the map, but it can of course be very risky. Great thing to abuse during objectives that keep people out of lanes though. 99% sure your symbiote target will soak anything nearby as if you were there, you don't need to last hit, but I'd need to double check to say with 100% certainty.
Not really sure what kind of info you're looking for though since for some reason you didn't just ask any questions. If you're considering picking him up I'd say go for it if you like the look of him and (more importantly) play with other people a lot. Abathur can't do shit by himself, if you don't have people that aren't braindead and kinda know how to play around him his value drops way the fuck off. Can make solo queueing with him a struggle, because you'll have people play super passively with him which tends to kind of defeat the purpose of having him entirely. I think he's a ton of fun and he brings a really unique playstyle, which personally I feel like are the best things to spend gold on. Him, Gazlowe and Murky are up there as my favourite 3 heroes just because they're all just genuinely fun to dick around on and play very differently to anyone else in the game.
Early on you will be putting the hat on people as they do early engagements or ganking. Melee types tend to be better such as Kerrigan/Illidain/tanks/etc. Of course, you'd also do it to save someone for shield or chase to pick off.
Mines can be used in bushes to act like mini-wards or if you know you can push your lane as a way to deplete enemy ammo towers.
Many builds exist, but at this time, this has given me the best result:
Pressurized Glands (great for hero damage and clearing)
Ballistospores (mines to check areas and global presence to burrow anywhere especially if they are preoccupied with an objective in a specific area far from you)
Needlespine (more range + damage = more cleaning up)
Evolve Monstrosity (more on this later)
Soma Transference (goes with Pressurized Glands, also heals Monstrosity along with allies)
Adrenaline Boost (good escapes for Monstrosity + teammates and chasing)
Evolution Complete/Hivemind (keeps Monstrosity alive longer or for more massive damage with Pressurized Glands + Needlespine)
Usually, with Monstrosity, you will want to go to an area during an objective moment to start getting stacks and pushing. With the full stacks, you may be sticking to the Monstrosity much of the time to continue pushing or even engaging in objective battles because the damage at full stacks is insane. This means you may not be being a hat on people during when it is alive unless you are sure it will be alive. If he is being moved down a lane you can drop the hat on him and go to someone else as the Monstrosity makes its way or hitting the lane safely. Adrenaline Boost/Evolution Complete aids with keeping the pet alive. This often puts me fairly high on hero and siege damage.
As I said, this is one of the main ways I build now and I have done various builds with mixing results but this has given me the best so far overall. A full mine build may work in spider map especially if they have cloakers to annoy their roaming.
rofl, had a game where a guy playing Stitches d/c'd. His bot proceeded to land like 3 pro as fuck hooks. Bot Stitches for president.
Also Anub'arak is crazy. And only 4k gold wat.
