I'm a little curious as to how this effects other X-Men movies. If all the other mutants are dead by 2024, then how do you do a modern X-Men movie without either doing a complete reboot or yet another time travel story?

Holy fuck this looks good.
Well the current time line is with first class and that's way behind the present so they have plenty of time to do w/e they want. However for an X-23 movie moving forwards I am a bit confused what they can do since in this timeline everyone is basically dead. If it follows her solo comics then it can be her quest to discover who she is, in which case the time line doesn't matter since there are plenty of non X-men mutants she can interact with
Normally not an X-Men film fan, but day one all up in this!
If someone told me a week ago that that the third Wolverine movie looked like it could potentially be better than the majority of solo Marvel movies, I would've gotten a hernia from laughing. What the fuck is even going on? I'm sure they'll fuck it up with some horrible plot contrivance mumbo jumbo, but fuck, that is an absolutely fantastic trailer.
IF this movie pulls through, this would be the first time a third film in the series was better than the first? o_O
it's a amazing film. i followed full version
Lord of the Rings immediately springs to mind. Even, arguably, the Hobbit trilogy of movies. Although I think it was the weakest book in the series, a case could also be made for Harry Potter, older child actors and experience working together on the films and such. And Captain America. I'm sure there's plenty more.
And honestly, origins was so hilariously awful that this movie has a while lot of wiggle room to be bad and still hit that goal.
I always thought of Rings/Hobbit as singular story, in a sense that we knew they were coming way before they were even made, whereas, the Wolverine movies have been a maybe. Maybe I am splitting hairs here. You're right about Cap tho.
These what I thought of when thinking of best 3rd Film in the series.
Army of Darkness (Does it even need to be explained? lol)
Alien 3 (arguably better than the first imo)
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly (by far the best western have seen)
The Last Crusade (Just for Sean Connery alone)
I don't care what anyone says about Ewoks but Jedi was definitely better than A New Hope.
as Dirty Hobo said, Wolverine Origins was fucking terrible. I'd be surprised if this doesn't at least inch by it.
Alien 3 better than Alien LOL
I thought we all agreed to ignore Wolverine Origins?
I move that from here out we acknowledge that X2 is actually Wolverine 1
Seconded.

Fox did do well with this trailer. Maybe they did learn from Deadpool after all.
