That would be a really lame cop out. That "no one ever really dies" shit is the worst part about comics.

That's not really unique to comics though; in any movie if you don't see the person die, don't count them out. (and horror movies even if you do see them die)

I thought it was good, but not nearly as good as the first season. I had JJ1 ahead of DD1, but I think DD2 is ahead of this.

with Trish's issues. They are conflating her jealousy of Jessica and her desire to be a hero with her addiction/relapse and withdrawal from the inhaler as the rationale for her increasingly erratic behavior.

Definitely could have almost entirely removed Jeri from this season and nothing of value would have been lost.

I think that they are trying to treat the shows like traditional TV shows. The series follows the main character, but the supporting cast needs exist beyond their interactions with the main character and that's sort of the point. There's more to Hogarth than being a convenient get-out-of-legal-trouble free card. There's more to Inez that being this clue in Jessica's IGH investigation.

If you care about the cast, it's not bad. But the fact is that most of us really don't care about anyone besides Matt/Jessica/Luke/Danny so it gets annoying and we'd prefer more frequent releases of 8-10 episodes rather 13 episodes with world building.

I also disliked this. It made them my least favorite character by far. It's nothing against the actor, if anything, they were on point. The character just felt so off the rails for seemingly no reason other than to add tension to an already bloated situation and story.

I did like Trish in the flashbacks though. They didn't hold back with showing just how unhinged she was during her Cray Cray/Patsy days. Wasn't a fan of the #metoo-esque inclusion of a director that raped her. That plot thread went absolutely nowhere.

I think we can all agree Purple Man needs to be a permanent semi-random inclusion. Those were some of the best scenes.

I liked it!

Very sad for the most part. Far more so than season one. Not as strong as that season but this one also didn't have a true villain to be a foil for Jessica. Much less black and white plot. Maybe season 3 will have something more concrete like Typhoid Mary or someone.
