Nice. Rosario Dawson confirmed 3 seconds into the trailer lol.
Fuck the soundtrack for this is going to be amazing! Wu-tang Forever!!!
Whoa this looks great!
Can't wait for the hallway scene
I admit, I've never read any of his books, nor do I claim to know anything of Cage's mythos, but I am curious.
OKay, so being bulletproof and pretty much indestructiblle, and seeing from the trailer that the main bad guy just endlessly throws henchmen with guns and fists at him, what would be Luke's arch enemy and how if at all the big battle play out?
It seems that Cornell Stokes, the main villain, could be a nod to Cornell Cottonmouth, a villain from Power Man series. There's a guy creditted as Cottonmouth's Driver on imdb and stunt double for Cottonmouth himself. So there's that. Also, Erik LaRay Harvey is playing Diamondback aka Willis Stryker. How badass were these villains?
From wiki (spoiler for potential series plot reveal):
Spoiler: show
Hey it's Remy Danton as the bad guy!
Trailer looks great but I can't wait to see how the apply the soundtrack.
Well, if you watch Jessica Jones they show that his invulnerability only goes skin-deep, and if he takes an internal injury his power becomes a liability because he can't be injected with anything or operated on, so I would think that enough blunt force would actually work vs him. If this Cottonmouth dude employs the Zapp Branigan Gambit(wave after wave of men), it might be a legit threat to Luke.
The real threat looks like it'll be how much damage civilians take because of Luke Cage's hero antics. An old man or two will bite the dust. Believe it.
luke cage and cheese in the same show, what a world. also mahershala ali will be the ballinest baller in the show. this will continue the tradition of netflix MCU villains being way way way better than movie villains. season 2 of daredevil notwithstanding
tv show villains have a whole series to develop, as opposed to most movie villains having only the one film, with the exception being Loki, which of course makes him the best movie villain
why the fuck aint if friday already?!
That's because PG villains are bad, pretty much no matter what.
Spoiler: show
Just imagine if Loki could control people and make them walk off buildings. I mean, he could, only thing holding him back is the ratings.
Kilgrave was such an amazing villain. Just when you start to sympathize with the dude he gets even batshit crazier lol. British dude fucking hit it out of the park.
Scottish, but yes. Although I suppose doing batshit crazy isn't too hard for him after nailing batshit neurotic Doctor Who for several seasons.
