Just kinda had to shake my head at Diamondback being his bastard brother and the whole revenge for not being the chosen son angle. Taking things further, we're also somehow supposed to swallow that after the frame job, he become this uber-savvy and financially well off criminal, affording him the expensive material for the Judas bullets and whatever the fuck tech that cheesy ass suit was. Basically, the initial point was way too much of an achilles heel. And this being a comic story, we know he'll escape in the future and pretty much start things all over again.
Presuming a S2, I'm having a rough time seeing Shades and Mariah as a legit threat if she continues to stay in the game. While they technically got most other competition killed, I believe they're broke outside of the club. And if they somehow spin her political career getting salvaged, it'll be something worse than Trump rising here in reality. So, while I suppose a completely new setting could technically work, I just don't see them pulling Luke out of the NY area given the relationship the series has to DD and JJ.
While unlikely, I think I'd prefer some more synergy among the 3 in their future outings, as my old critique about JJ was it tried to dabble in so many genres, but never really excelled at any. And that usually came at the expense of the fact that, yeah, these are supposed to be shows about supers. Emo origin stories out of the way, let 'em do some cool shit.
