I'm probably going to be in the minority here, by a mile: I would much rather see The Defenders than the next Avengers flicks. They have their issues, but I'm a really big fan of the Netflix part of Marvel's universe. It's like this is better than what I imagined as a child for marvel stuff.
Yeah, you definitely are. My biggest worry with The Defenders is how BAD this Danny Rand is, honestly. Ugh.
marvel netflix verse is pretty spotty. daredevil s1 and jessica jones were good, but i didnt really care for anything else and iron fist was egregiously bad so not sure on hype levels for this
Yeah man, I'm still on episode 5 of Iron Fist. When I'm almost halfway through your kung fu series and the focus is on Danny's legal issues I'm not motivated to keep watching.
Even if the action might be questionable, I think the four will have the mojo to carry it.
I still need to watch both, and I'm eager to watch this too.
Even just the little bit they showed makes Danny seem so much better already. Hopefully they don't spend too many episodes having them fuck around before they team up and start kicking ass as a team. Looking forward to this.
I'm going to watch this since I've already watched everything else of theirs so far up to this point, but I don't have super high expectations just yet. There is far more bad/meh than great stuff in the Marvel Netflix universe so far to make me a bit worried.
I still need to watch Iron Fist which I honestly don't look forward to. I had to power through Luke Cage to finish it, and I was legit hyped about that series. With DD/JJ on board though I'll definitely day one binge this. Especially with them teasing Bernthal.
i dunno man if you dont want to watch it then you dont need to. it really doesnt add anything to the universe.

prob 4 eps of meechams and foggy suing someone, then last 4 eps have some action.
I agree with Danny already seeming better in the trailer. I also remember reading shit like he was given like fight choreography sometimes like a day or two before actual shooting. I expect the action stuff from him to be significantly better in The Defenders.
Luke Cage imo has always had kind of the weakest story, and more difficult to relate to. It's a lot easier to see him as this chill dude than all his internal stuff. Basically, I got faith
Muh dick
It looks fantastic. Only thing that isn't fantastic is I feel like I should watch Iron Fist before this
oh man. hype
So apparently they showed the whole first episode. (non-spoiler review)
