It's not like that part of your brain where you stored a decade of XI/XIV lore is going to be put to better use in your life anyhow.
I could have learned a useful language, but nope, got FFXI's zones all committed to memory instead, don't need no stinkin' map.
i have difficulty remembering major life milestones/events, such as funerals, weddings, and whatnot.
but i can still set up a Light skillchain without consulting my chart
I'm not ashamed to admit i'm in the same boat >_>;
None of that shit's canon. We don't want him, either.
Fusion dance. Duh.
I had all the maps... it's just that the map overlay sucked horribly. Open, look, close. Open, look, close. Which way was I supposed to turn again?
Worst offenders: Yuhtunga/Yhoator Jungle, Halvung, Arrapago, Waja- know what fuck it, all of the damn Aht Urghan zones. Honorable mention goes to Phomiuna Aqueducts because that place wasn't particularly difficult to navigate, it was just ass.
It's no Yorcia though. Look at how helpful this map is.

That's probably one of my bigger pet peeves with Adoulin. The zones had no budget for TLC, it was left in a XIV1.0-like state where they built basic tile-sets and just copy-pasted them everywhere with hardly any landmarks or artists chiseling out the geometry so you're not trekking down the same looking path/turn for the sixth time in a different part of the area.
Unrelated: I can't stand when people start 'making up' skill names and shit they want for their jobs or new jobs on the OF. Just say you want a new utility dot or a skill that would actually be practical, christ.

Also chigoes, not true sound but a pain nonetheless.
Yeah, the Yorcia map is appalling. But then we struggled with the glacier map back in the day. Three of us trying to make it to Xarcabard back then got completely lost
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...=1#post3524453 I'll always feel bad for people that believe this.
Yep, since for some odd reason a lot of us didn't understand the design of the slopes on the map. That's why I don't mind it from a design perspective, it's a world..even more so in Adoulin areas it's unexplored wilderness, but from a QoL standpoint, it definitely needs the paths marked. I understand getting lost in Yhoatunga, cuz that map is as useless as testicles on a dildo.
that chinese outfit does look nice though
Sums up MMOs for me
Fuck content, just want to pay real $$ for cutesy outfits

Late, so not putting much effort into this one; just follow the link and see for yourselves (also if you're up for it, immortalize some of those whiteknighting posts with a quote or screencap).
