I'll never understand the mentality of needing the best gear just to step on a cockroach. You can't say you don't need BIS because you don't raid, I don't do raids I don't do static but I still want BIS.
I was posting in that thread in support of your friend.
I'm glad they were unbanned, they didn't deserve it.
I am sorry because you were banned due to your post, its good to be able to read construcive criticism on the OF once in a while, as for your friend congratulation to him.
The OP's drama is the one I posted a month or so ago, with this FC buying players from the rival FC, with Paypal transactions.
I will never understand this mentality of caring about what other people have or this need to show that you cleared X thing, we're on internet and no one really gives a damn about who clear what, some want different means to gear up in the current highest iLv (this was the case of Butcherboy if you read the full phrase) because what if you don't like the 8 men template of raid? I personally don't because I will spend more time trying to replace 1 - 2 ppl all the time rather than progressing.
It was, but the thing seems to have calmed down a bit now.

I would love to see this happen, whatever if this is tied to something casual friendly or hardcore, I got the tank legs on Tuesday and holy crap at these +Det/crit, I'd definitly want that as i210.
Could do with some interesting drama, but about the only thing I've got is some guy from my old FC is stalking me on Reddit and sending PM's to people
I don't think it's a terrible idea either. The playerbase has shown via Diadem that simply higher level gear is incentive enough to do easier content over and over. And as it's a catch up patch the reasoning behind introducing lower level gear eludes me, even for "secondary" jobs, which I've been able to get a few 210's for through Diadem anyway. The raid purists have 3 months to compete for world firsts and establish themselves as server best raiders, and now with catch up patch, the rest of us should be able to do just that.
I wouldn't mind them bringing in a "merit" style of adding to your abilities like they add in 11. I would like that they give more options to it though.
Defensive abilities like sentinel, youd have the option of increasing duration, decreasing cooldown or increasing the %.
Offensive abilities : you could decrease the TP/mana cost, increase potency, unlock a unique effect, increase the duration.
This wouldnt solve job diversity but just diversity among others of the same job.
The only problem with diversity is that there is not if there is always going to be one "efficient" way of doing something.
I mean until a raid can constantly wipe a tank line over and over, DPS priority will always be more effecient for tanks once they reach a survival thresh hold, dps will always prioritize dps, and healers apparently wont cast protect(go figure)...
11 didnt have much diversity either if you come to think of it, all dps jobs did the same thing, TP--> WS ---> TP---> WS. Casters , nuked--> occasional stun--> gained mana --> rinse repeat.
I think tanks had a nice diversity in 11 though early on, because of how they would tank wouldnt always be the same, pld tanked differently than a ninja did, rdm and drk while some what similiar in their enmity spells, still tanked differently, sam and monk tanks were different than the others, I want to say thf tanks were also a thing at certain occasions.
Blue was probably one of the few that were diverse over the other jobs imo, both in dps and tanking. I stopped playing before Geo/Rune came out so I cant comment on that.
I want to say Aion has good diversity, maybe GW2 between job/classes. Havent played WoW but I would assume so as well.
I dont think SE is very good with diversity because they recycle everything they possibly can......everything.
