On a long enough timeline, sure, but a lot of people are going to throw their hands in the air and not bother (or claim to, then bitch and complain everywhere that it needs to be changed while they endure it). It's an alternative to raiding, that's all. Plus they look neat and will be somewhat unique for a while.

That seems to be the point as far as I can tell. You get the absolute best as a drop from the hardest content, then have your token options from moderate content and your face roll grind fest option from the easiest stuff. Twin vs Ex Primals vs Zenith was pretty well balanced imo, this is just the next iteration with a longer timeline (increased coil difficulty / low drop rates / longer grind cycle with trials that can't be carried) since people kept saying it was too easy.

It seems like Yoshi's doing his best to cater to everyone, but missing the fact that most MMO players don't actually want any of those challenges. They just want to get their items, then continue to complain anyway.

I know you were lucky with Atma drops, but most people spend well over 36 hours farming Atma.

At least with the books there is no silly RNG associated with it. I think the book-portion is pretty nice.

This is just like the Housing thing. Players are shocked, SE hides for a while. Players rage for a bit and then most chillout and get on with it + moaning.

A Square-Enix teased-and-denied Y'shtola route is too much for my heart to handle. I'd be much better off not even being aware of the possibility. It's as bad as hoping for a FF7 sequel.

I didn't notice a difference in hate generation at all, not with my static, not in random 50 dungeons, not in low level dungeons with Shield Oath, not in low level without.

I've noticed my enmity being shit in T6... of course that was when I completely forgot to put up oath at midnight after wiping for 2 hours and being buzzed.

I wish we'd get persistent stances for that reason. Seems weird MNK gets them but not PLD (or WAR? I'm presuming Defiance doesn't stick).
