I dunno, I think roegs are pretty fabulous.
Spoiler: show
It depends. Galka are kinda cool to me depending how you do them. I still hate that ocean green color they are though, I would def have to be normal white
I switched from elezen to Mi'qote a couple months ago, they're not too bad but I miss my elf. Was pretty awesome towering over everyone
Would be nice if there was a renewable source of Fantasias, I haven't used any of mine yet, but still.
On the other hand your race/gender doesn't really have a distinct feel to it like it did in XI since 90% of the animations are the same for them all in XIV (and you don't really see as much of your character among all the mayhem).
^ It's partly for that reason (same-y animations) that I consider it very practical to be a lala since it's easier to conceptualize the tiny player hitbox. Other races' combat stances kind of suffer from the spread legs making it harder to ID your center at a glance.
Hah! I actually ran into this guy in a low-level Guildhest Roulette last night. He was on PLD and tanked wearing exactly what you see in that picture (nothing but a pair of Mercenary Legs). The entire time he was firing off a "HULK SMASH!!!" macro with whatever emote that is in the pic. I had no choice but to give him a commendation afterwards - would have never forgiven myself if I didn't.
that's actually fantastic
The title alone is pretty funny: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...ompared-to-whm.
You see lots of things like single war tank doing t5, but has anyone managed to do t5 with 2 whms?
It's no wonder people are so terrible at this game when they don't even understand the jobs they're playing.
I usually don't mind if I get the off person in CT or do a random roulette and get a tard who doesn't understand mechanics, the only ones that usually irk me is when they they use abilities wrong and won't listen to reason. The perfect example is voke lol. Read the fucking description.
"Gesture threateningly, increasing enmity in target."
I can't say I blame new tanks for not understanding it if nobody explained it. I DO blame them when I explain it and they still use it.
That's what I meant by not listening to reason
edit: Read the description was aimed more at other abilities people potentially use wrong. Voke was just the best I could think of at that time
@ the following... not sure if serious.
All excerpts from same poster: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...e-vs-Leviathan
Lol, no. Melee is bad for every single fight in the game. The best Monk in the world is not > Foe Requiem + Battle Voice on a mediocre Bard. The intent of the topic (concern about rear attacks on Leviathan) is something I can get behind, but this guy is bonkers.I switched from Bard to Monk in 2.1 because of the buffs and limit break changes (and SEs promise that new encounters would accommodate melee). Didn't last a single raid clear before going back to Bard. Despite the fact that I parsed higher than our summoner, it was not high enough to A. cost both our summoner and BLM 20% of their damage, B. lose a reliable silence and mana song utility for revives/mistakes, and most importantly C. significantly convolute strategies just to help allow me to spend more time on target.
Like I said earlier, just because a Monk can outdps a summoner on a few fights, it doesn't mean your overall raid's damage output is increasing. Melee do not bring enough to the table to make them worth bringing - and it has nothing to do with skill.

Such obvious trolling but it's still fun to read the comments as a result.
I imagine fighting Levi's tail is going to be like Demon Wall. You can still probably get a flank hit in on it and if you can attack the tail, I'd assume it counts as a rear hit. The guy himself though I'm sure isn't MNKing right
Technically not OF but whatever

I know it sucks that you have to pay 6 bucks a month more than a lot of other players, but you are far from alone. The reason it seems like ffxiv has more issue than other games is because dodging is such a huge part of the mechanics, so where a little bit of lag in other mmos isn't a big deal, it's huge in ffxiv. So if I were you, I'd just work an extra half hour this month and just pay the six bucks to enjoy the game. Or, if six bucks is a bank breaker, quit playing and save an additional ten. Either way, coming here and bitching about it is pointless.
In that thread: dude who only played XI making stupid comment.
Don't need to go to reddit to find that. You can find that here too!
It's not even a little bit of lag that does it, I'm generally fine chillin at 300ms of lag on Titan ex, but like when I hit 700 at times it's absurd. Like I said in the other thread though, it sucks that we have to pay for an additional service to make the current one work correctly, but until they fix it we have very few options. Don't do endgame or pay the fee
Good god @ this thread: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...uick-Synthesis
tl;dr: 2.16 will make quick synthesis success based on gear. This is horrible! Now I won't be able to craft naked to save on repair costs!
