Watched the trailer without sound (at worj). Is there anything to be excited about story/lore wise? Obviously there's no gameplay, but with all the pre-war images I wonder if we'll have "flashback" bits.

I'm gonna overhype the shit out of this and it will still be great. Fallout is probably my favorite series and the last one that came out was five years ago.
The only thing about the trailer that is throwing me off is the modern air transport that looks like something out of Cod or MGS.
Vertibirds have been around since at least Fallout 3.
Anyway, I AM HYPE. This will be what gets me to finally bite the bullet and get a PS4 or XBone.
Amazon pre-order lists the release date as 12/31/2015. While that's obviously a place holder, it gives me hope that it's intended to come out relatively soon. A number of other games have 12/31/2016 released dates (Deus Ex: HR, Uncharted 4, Dead Island 2) whereas Fallout 4 and Final Fantasy XV say 12/31/2015. I'm hoping that means something. But probably not.
Yeah Diamond City is Fenway. You can see the lights in the background and some kind of green monster mechanical thing.
How about the old Boston Garden? Anyone notice that?
I've experienced the same bugs & glitches on PS3 as I did on PC in F3/NV. I want to believe that they'll have things worked out, but part of the fun is experiencing those goofs. I'll be purchasing this on both PS4 & PC, but my PC cannot handle those graphics that are in the trailer.
Lets not forget that NV was done by Obsidian and had way more bugs than F3.
I can't remember where I read it, but it was a dev guy, and he basically said the very nature of games like Fallout and Skyrim lead to bugs. Basically the longer you play, the game has to remember everything you've done plus open/close off plot points in quests based on your choices, and eventually you have so much going on that the game has to keep track of that bugs and crashes are inevitable.
The Gamebyro engine by itself was a buggy nightmare.
