I remember meeting some great friends in ro. But it really depends on how much time it takes
Last I recall playing RO.... at a grind of about 8-14 hours per day, it took a month on average per level (grouped mostly, but some solo). It was back in the early days of RO.
I can still manage at least 6-8hours a day so I don't think it will bother me much, I've still been able to keep up my 3-4 hour a day sleep schedule at my old age /rawr
Update on CB2
CB2 will commence from April 21st to April 26th, 12PM to 12AM Korean time.
- CB2 will feature new content, and areas/zones.
- A new 5th endgame dungeon for players lvl 100/Rank 3 and above.
- New LFG, Party Event, Helper System for players lvl 100/rank 3 and above.
- Certain jobs get new skills.
- Players complained about boss difficulty, so IMC has ramped them up.
- Gamepad support (WIP with UI support).
- You can now search for a party by your house name.
- You can swap weapons on the fly with the new UI for Rank 2, 5, and 6.
- Added the new playable jobs.
- Job Adjustments and Nerfs.
Nexon has updated the class list, and shows the skills in videos. Click on a class and choose a skill to see the video. Chose a basic class, to start your journey !
http://info.tos.nexon.com/community/...aspx?page=list
- Max lvl is 300 and max rank is lvl 10. (it was rank 6 in CB2)
- Character level is for attributes, and job/class level is for going up rank and skill points.
- Everyone starts the game at Rank 1. There are 4 class choices. Cleric, Archer, Wizard and Swordsman. Every Rank consists of 15 job levels. Upon hitting job level 15 you "Rank up" and receive a quest -to change jobs. Every rank up consists of 2 new choices, and the option to advance the current class.
- Every rank up gives you the choice of staying the same class (and in turn receiving more skills), or choosing another class.
- Upon making a choice when you rank up, you can not be any other class on the same circle. So you can upgrade the same class up to 3 times after which you have 'mastered' it, and the next rank up you must choose a new class.
- You can never go back. Once you've made a choice, you lose the choice to ever go back, or choose a different class of the same rank.
CB2 xp rate was increased by 200%, so players could test end game, yet barley anyone made it that far. It really looks like this game is a grinder !
Anyway s here is a low lvl 120 Field boss fight
Dat grind, baby. Hnnnngh.
Edit: Is that Guilty Gear sounding stock metal the default music of the game?
Yea that is the default music of the game. If you want to listen to the entire OST, you can check it out here :

Really looking forward to the International beta test that should be.....soon, I think? Remember reading it was going to be after the second Korean CBT, which is currently going on or recently ended. Maybe a month or two? >.> Not sure there are any official dates though.
Totally cool with this game being a grind fest.
From seeing some of the vids on this, I'm pretty afraid I'll be able to spend many hours and not realize its 3am on a weeknight... Would be like Civilization all over again...
I don't know if this is real or not ( it may be a hoax) as IMC hasn't confirmed anything. But the English version of TOS is now on Steam Greeenlight. So help it greenlight !

Wow TOS broke a steam record, getting Greenlit in just 10 hours, and this was not a hoax after all.

Kim Hakkyu also did an interview with the Korean media yesterday and talked about the new partnership with IMC and Valve. It looks like Valve will be distributing the international version of TOS, with IMC (unless there is another international publisher) handles all the publishing and marketing in this case as well as any other associated responsibilities.

Hopefully the international CBT is just around the corner.
Cannot wait, /Hype !
Can't wait!
Probably have to make this my main game depending on gameplay.
Looks like we'll be seeing this sooner, rather then later, but I'm not so stoked about needing STEAM to play the game. Suppose there's always a time to bite the bullet though.
It's not so much as who's bringing it over, though that is undoubtedly an important factor; rather, it's that I have to install a piece of software (Steam) in order to play a game, on my own PC. All things being equal, I'd rather just install the game and enjoy the experience. If Steam is able to enhance that experience, via standards they implement on the game companies, to be able to use their platform (Nintendo Seal of Approval?), then that's something I may have to accept in order to try out a game I'm interested in.
Or let others test-run the game to see if it's worth buying into
Well, the one thing Steam does is get more attention to the game, which potentially means more players. Having to have a another program open is slightly annoying, but you might be able to run it without? Can't remember if that was a thing with Steam games or not. I hardly ever play anything in it except Terraria. >.>
You can download the game fully off steam and still play offline. Tried it when my internet went out for a day.
