I haven't been on BG much lately and I just saw this.

I'm yet another random person he inspired without ever knowing it. I can't count how many hours I spent reading the LHC thread, followed by hours of researching to figure out what he was even saying. He had such a knack of inspiring anyone to thirst for more knowledge.

My condolences to his family and friends, he will be truly missed. The world is a better place because of his time here.

I'm so sorry to hear of this. I agree with what everyone else said about him being so chill. He just explained it so vividly I felt totally outclassed trying to get to the bottom of his paragraphs.

Man, I have such a damper on today now. I feel for his family and friends.

To me, the best part about Woozie was the way he carried himself. He rarely/never? stooped to the typicla ascenine level of internet forum behavior. He was always friendly, informative and genuinely happy to educate others. That type of attitude is rare and praiseworthy. It's sad to see someone like that go.

I haven't had the ability to post or even lurk BG in the past couple of years due to a change in jobs, but I saw this on Miz's Facebook and simply could not believe the news.

While I loved participating on BG, some of the best time that I ever spent here was reading through the science/math threads that Woozie was a major player in. I definitely regret only being a lurker in those threads and never being able to thank him for the mental gymnastics (and satisfaction of learning something new) that some of those posts forced on me. It was amazing to find such an incredible mind on a forum that I originally discovered thanks to video game drama.

To hear of his mental struggles in this thread is just heartbreaking. I have been there before and there are no real words to describe the torture that can go on inside your own head.

I wish I could find better words, but the only other thing I have is that you rest in peace, Woozie, and extend my deepest condolences and sympathies to his family.

Requiescat in pace. It was always fascinating to read his posts. To get a glimpse into a brilliant mind. It's one of the reasons I really liked it here. The discussions when it came to science and maths were top tier. Woozie, Miz always showing us the way the world and the stars danced. I'm going to miss his shine, his charm.
