I've been using Cobalt Ingots (42) to bond my crafting gear. It seems to take about 300 to bond HQ i55 single melds, which roughly coincides with the numbers on this thread. I believe the level limit for bonding is 15, not 10.

That makes sense with limited personal testing. Before the "always bound" patch I'd have to catch a Silver Shark or higher to bind FSH AF, well, I mean that'd be what finally bound my gear to me when doing shit like Costa de Sol. (Silver Sharks are Lv41) So 15 seems like a reasonable assumption.

With new extreme mode coming, do you think these elements materials will become handy?!

Nope. Cap per slot is pretty abyssmal, and why bother when you could just end the fight sooner.

What a way to extend subs if people have to grind a whole new set just for each primal.

i.e, without +100 fire resist, Ifrit-Extreme is not tankable.

If we know SE at all, they won't extend inventory space to be able to carry 3 more sets until 2.3

Does Quick Synth Get the Full Value or do you need to sit there and hand craft them all?

Unless 2.1 changed things, quick synth gives the same amount.

I think there was something in the patch notes about Quick Synth exp being doubled?

Is there a way to spiritbond ilvl 70 gears outside of coil and Ifrit Ex and further primals?

Turn 4 has always and will always be the best place to SB i70. 6 runs for double melded 7 runs for single melded.

I wouldn't be surprised if they SBed in the Expert dungeons tbh.

They do. Triple melded gets about 8% of a brayflox speed run.

Really? That's useful info. I thought all the dungeons were a no-go.

I assume the range of mobs that would give SB was widened in the same patch that changed the potential TIV conversion threshold to 45.

I remember in 2.1, they made it possible that you could get Tier 4 Materia from 45+, and it was around 10% at that level. Did a load of spiritbonding and thats the rate it tended too.

Now doing it, i've got one in around 20 sets. Is my RNG just crap, or has something changed?

What is the rate with the i55 stuff?

Oh to add to this thread, ST is garbage for SB. Just switch to SB for the mini trash in between bosses, BUT the new expert dungeons are awesome. Unlike the old ones you can get 15%+ on the new dungeons with i70!

When I SB I usually do 5 sets on a whole 11 pieces and I'll end up with maybe 5-6 T4s but that's off of i50
