I'm loving the new series so far. Episode 2 was hilarious, maxed stat MC is great
The new series is suffering from the same thing the first one did (for me): it moves too quickly and lacks coherency. It skips a ton of major plot and character development points and, as a result, is pretty annoying to watch (the original did this too, so this being a direct continuation of that in theory doesn't really fix much). I couldn't see it appealing at all to someone who has never played the game, similar to the original animation. They won't know what's going on since they can't really fill in the blanks.
Well, you could say that about their Persona - The Ultimax Arena game too, but it's probably missing the point of why both were created.. Both seem pretty much made for Persona fans, which is still a valid reason to do something, but, as a draw-back, it's not likely going to bring non-persona fans into the fold.
The fighting game doesn't really retread the same old story events though. Its a direct continuation so of course it does.
The anime is actually going over the events 'of' the Persona 4 game (though this version of the anime is skipping nearly everything of importance) or so we'd like to think.
I'm not really sure what's going on here because while I didn't play much of Persona 4, there was a lot heavier stuff than what's being presented here going on. I didn't watch more than a few eps of the old anime series but I don't think it was nearly as bad as this one about it.
Pretty sure this assumes you've played Persona 4 or watched the previous series. I doubt if you're fresh to P4 this is going to make sense, but if you know the story well enough (even without playing P4G) then it doesn't confuse you.
When I say I'm not really sure what's going on here I don't mean I'm confused by the plot ('cause there really ain't any yet), I mean I don't know what they are doing.
Its only been two episodes, sure, but this show has no plot so far. Episode 2 was like something out of a SoL show.
I'm pretty sure it's going to be SoL covering the new events in Golden, might retread some old ground but I doubt it will too much. Either way, I don't think it'll overlap with 4 much. Seems like a Full Metal Panic Fumoffu type series to me.
Yeah, that's what it is seeming like so far.
No real complaints about that other than... so much Marie. Hah.
I meant in the same sense that, if you enjoy a fighting game, you can play P4U and enjoy it but not know what's going on since it's mostly for P4 fans; just a different genre. I think both are made mostly for P4 fans, but if new people can also enjoy it, and become fans of the franchise, then that's icing on the cake.

Persona 3 the Movie #3: Falling Down
Teaser picture floating around with the phrase "Take Your Heart" featuring a masquerade type mask on fire and a top hat as a possible reference to Baleygr (Odin). Baleygr is known as the Flaming Eye. Speculation of a heavy Nordic influence for the party personas.
Movie 3 looks hype as all hell. Damn.
Teddie and Mary Sue being the least liked characters was amusing. Also, how is "The Battle For Everyone's Souls" not the most popular song?
Edit:
Hello, Potter-kun. Why Sho serious?
![]()
Rumor is that that is Sho/Sho.
and Sega has a higher quality scan of the advertisement, if it matters

Sho's hair is a touch different, though I'm convinced that Potter-kun and Sho are the same person somehow. How they fold that into the story (if true) will be really interesting.
Edit: And that event was a whole lot of moonspeak.
http://gematsu.com/2015/02/atlus-new...e-newspaper-adIn it, the newscaster mentions someone by the name of “The Phantom” releasing a mysterious notice related to the concert, which ran in today’s Yomiuri. The newscaster takes this to mean that he’ll somehow be opposing the event, but Atlus assures it intends to hold the event as planned.
Oh.
My.
GOD!
So excited. Atlus wins. The urban vibe looks so well done and put together. The menus look great. Cat and dog mascots. Masks look to be the new evokers. Very Persona 1 with the ability for people to equip guns. This needs to be released now.
And mine is like Violet
