    Ark Angel Battles: The Second Coming

    Too many tables to paste the entire info here, but:

    New High-Tier Mission Battlefields have been added.

    New High-Tier Battlefields and Bosses
    Ark Angels
    Players will battle one of the Ark Angels.
    Divine Might
    Players will battle five of the Ark Angels simultaneously.

    Entering these new battlefields
    Certain key items are required to participate in these battlefields, and can be obtained by exchanging merit points with the following NPCs.
    NPC providing the requisite key items (Individual Ark Angel battles are 20 merits and Divine Might is 30 merits)
    Trisvain in Northern San d’Oria (J-7)
    Raving Opossum in Port Bastok (J-11)
    Mimble-Pimble in Port Windurst (L-5)
    Added merit info so the entire entry condition is there.

    I have key item, can't enter. Tried with three people, all three having KI, can't enter.

    Edit: Seems position is wrong on official update post.

    We did the Mithra fight on Normal Difficulty earlier today, party of 6, all 6 of which had the Phantom of Envy KI, which was consumed on entry.

    The Mithra summoned her tiger, which was easily sleepable.
    She was similar to the old Mithra, charmed even with pet out, used AoE sleep WS, Rampage and other Axe WS, now including Cloudsplitter.
    Bit of a mess when our 119 vere Mnk got charmed and beat down our 119 Glanz Mnk and the other DD, but we lived. NM resisted sleep and gravity (Partial, not total resist) and was suceptible to Bind.
    Accuracy was something of an issue, even with Sushi.
    Win in 11 minutes, having lost some time to buffing early and losing 2 DDs.

    Party was Whm Sch/Rdm Vere Mnk Glanz Mnk and either an Oat Mnk or a Thf for the 6th, I don't remember.

    When we killed the Mithra the battle ended, and we got drops into the pool:
    Regimen Mittens
    Vestige of a Buried Trait
    Crappy Synth material
    Crappy spell (Boost-Agi?)
    2x Rem's Tale Chapter 8
    And then I also had a Pluton and 2x Rem's Tale chapter 8 drop directly into my inventory.

    I bet the vestiges are traded for the new earrings, probably need a good deal of them if the vestiges arent labeled as "Rare". I kind of like how the new earrings are the inverse of the old ones.(Bushinomimi was GK/Parrying, new Galka one is Polearm/Store TP for example.)

    Ark Angel TT was pretty easy fight.

    3MNK 2WHM BRD(4Song)

    Notable moves:

    Amon Drive - 400-1500 AOE damage and petrify + paralyze
    Regular scythe WS - ony threatening one was guillotine
    Blaze Spikes, Tier 3, ga3 and AM nukes - t3s did like 500-800 damage in capped/near capped MDT and were used more frequently than the others
    Blood weapon around 50% - lol
    Manafront around 30% - did sleepga into meteor, not dangerous if you aren't retarded about positioning, meteor only did 800-1200 with capped MDT and usual ilevel pieces

    Warps around a bunch as it did in the 75 version, elegy/nocturne landed without troub, didn't try any other debuffs. Battlefield clear time was 8m35, several minutes spent buffing at start and 1 mnk got killed by guillotine at 70%ish.

    Overall an easy fight but considerably more difficult than a normal difficulty SKNM20

    Personal Pool: 2 chapters + a single or case of RME
    Party Pool: 2 chapters, ice cluster, hepatizon ore, scroll gain mnd, single/case RME

    In the update notes it has them as being used in one of the new synergy recipes for new jugs. And if this ends up being the only/main source for this kittens are going to die

    yes, and therefore 100 merits minimum before you can attempt the new DM fight, which is 30 merits per fight. on one hand the entry makes merits useful again, but will end up limiting the amount of DM attempts for quite some time compared to a 100k pop item

    Did Hume AA, he can put up a fight at least lol. Need DT set or he can potentially one shot with CDC > melee hit, especially after using Brazen Rush.

    I can see Worm pts and Doll pts making a come back and low man Adoulin cleave pts getting really popular.

    Has anyone see those Anahera type weapons yet?

    Abyssea parties are godawful, and really arent efficient for the 20-30 merit bursts people are going to need.

    Voidwatch on the other hand is great, you get what, 30k exp per kill using a Xanthous cell at Morta? 18K per set of 6?
    That would be a great way to do it, just burn out some VW for an afternoon or so and grab all 5 KIs in between runs. Its how my LS is planning to do it, anyway.

    ilvl 119+ for Very Difficult seems like it could be hard. I wonder if that means the mobs will be higher ilvl119 or if that just means the relative difficulty will be around that. SKCNM Very Difficult was just plain ilvl119 according to SE and those mobs were virtually invincible with typical delve buffs and standard-fare TP gear. If you need SV madrigals and every ounce of Acc to get a >80% hit rate on 119 SKCNM very difficult, a Very Difficult ilvl119++ may be redonkulous. Might start seeing RDMs coming just for the sake of Stymie+Sleep II, or Gravity II for the -40 EVA, even THFs for Feint zergs.

    They need to let us hold 100 merits or something.

    It should be higher, even normal was shown to be Ilvl 119 I believe?

    SE's directions on the EV coordinates are wrong. They lead you to the Angel TT's island instead of the EV island.

    EV uses dominion slash or something for +1k nasty AOE damage, she's NO JOKE even on normal.

    Is it a WS or a TP move? Could be stunnable. Maybe we'll need oldschool tactics like PLD straight tanking, DDs with /NIN, debuffing them with Bio III and buffing everyone with Scherzo.
