So I decided to play through Wind Waker HD now that I have a Wii U and got to looking at the places that WW and TP have in common, and that got me looking at the timeline again.

Whats the chance Hyrule Warriors pops up in the Four Swords timeline? Assuming they want to make this canon and all. If not then this is all irrelevant.

This is actually a new Link, specifically created for the Hyrule Warriors. He exists within the world that Hyrule Warriors' story takes place. If you can think about Hyrule Warriors and the Legend of Zelda worlds, they're existing in separate dimensions but there is some crossover between the two.

According to Famitsu magazine, Agitha, from Twilight Princess, is going to be a playable character. Also, Zant and Argorok will show up. 'Lana' is also going to be a playable character and perhaps the name of the third person on the box cover art.

She's apparently some bug catcher.

I actually played Twilight Princess, and I don't remember her at all. I'm going to be disappointed if we don't get a Zora and/or Goron combatant, but they include something as off the wall as Agitha.

While I assume she's perhaps recognizable to people who played it (although apparently not everyone) ... to someone like me who's never played Twilight Princess, that sounds about as exciting to me as telling me I can play as Chinese Villager #46,836,371 in the next Dynasty Warriors ... lol.

Ok, ok, I apoligize ... that's a bit harsh ... but in reality it does sound like a nobody character. So I have to ask, did they really have to scrape that far down into the barrel or is she actually memorable or significant other than as a quest turn in point?

I'm kind of viewing Agatha being added as potential for us getting some more obscure characters added in that we have not seen for a while. Twinrova comes to mind, and I would like to see some villains added in general. Vaati, Zant and Ghiranim would be cool too. A Majora's Mask'ed Skull kid. If Nintendo doesn't want to play around I can see ~30 characters being available as playable eventually and thats a lot of space to cover with possible throwbacks.

Wouldn't mind seeing some characters that were originally cameos added either. Like King Richard from Link Awakening, or Syrup and Maple. Oracle Goddesses? Why not!

tl;dr Agatha being added doesn't bother me, it actually has be excited we get some long forgotten fan favorites in.

Well, Zant is going to show up, in some form, and the moon, from Majora's Mask, makes a cameo during a powered up special attack during the level demoed at E3, so it seems likely there will be a lot of room for cameos to come.
