Been snowing here on and off all day. It is sticking in some places and some places it isn't. It's really wet snow and 34F so that's no surprise. Might get some accumulation tonight when it's actually below freezing.

Almost 60 today. 3-5 inches of snow coming Friday. Central NC weather be wild.

We have 40 degree swings in one day fairly often, just not below freezing

Albuquerque got about 1-3inches yesterday, mostly melted away by now but holy shit I forgot how bad it is to drive here in snow. No salt on roads, no plows, it's a fucking nightmare. Made mistake of going out to store in my 370z....made it half way home and had to push car up a hill into a parking lot because people were not going fast enough to keep momentum when going up small hills and don't have all season tires on the thing.
All season tires on a RWD wouldn't have done anything different. And there's probably not much point in having real winter tires in Albuquerque.
This. All season =/= all weather.
Though all weather tires are becoming much more of a thing. The ones from Michelin are absolutely hideous and ride like butthole, but they’re still good for 65k, have exceptional grip on snow (def not ice), and come out cheaper than using winter tires seasonally.

Yeah tires don't matter when the roads are literally just ice haha, could see it just gleaming in the moonlight last night. Slick as fuck
I've got decent work boots that claim to be slip-resistant, but that shit don't matter when the surface you're walking on ignores friction laws like my physics professor. I extend that same philosophy to my bike tires which claim to be all-weather (they are!) But not all-surface.
As the winter storm passed through the midwest, our city streets are jank. Haven't been able to ride my bike in over a month with the constant freezing temps and ice-like conditions. All that salt doesn't help when it's so cold that salt water freezes!
If by bike you mean bicycle, you could always put studded tires on it. If you mean motorcycle then you're fucking crazy, freezing temperatures is car time.
Hahaha yea bicycle. It's a road-bike and I'm not sure the forks support those tires.
