Snowing again right now. Probably only 3 inches, but I'm hoping we do get every bit of that so classes are delayed or cancelled today. Working 6pm-6am and then having classes at 10am is a bitch and a half. Only problem is this class has met maybe twice because the snow always comes on the same day of the week lol.

Wednesday, it rained all day at Government Camp (Mt. Hood), then froze overnight and dumped about 8" of snow on top of the ice. I saw countless wrecked vehicles coming down off the pass. Most of them were of the smashed fender variety, which tells me they don't understand how inertia and friction interact. Yay for guardrails to corral the stupid drivers.

On a much better note, all flood warnings for the area have been dropped and most of the rivers have crested. No major damage but everything is very soggy still.

Minneapolis & St Paul, MN has run so low on snow removal and street clearing funding that they will only plow one side of side streets now. Minneapolis has been under a one-sided parking restriction for a couple of weeks now and beginning March first, St Paul will have one, too. The rage will be real here.

At least it's that fine powder and not that heavy ass wet accumulation from last month. Managed to get out of my house without having to use a homemade flamethrower. The ice underneath is a bitch though.
