Thursday we had a huge rain fall in the Twin Cities. I worked a 12 hour day doing clean-up at my work because over a foot of standing water on our roof that drained through the vents into the shop. We lost a few thousand dollars worth of product and shelving, also the structure cost still has yet to be determined. We've been trying to dry the place out, but it's going to be awhile.

Over in Minneapolis, there was a good sized mud slide that happened right under the U of MN hospital.

Same. Rain is rare here. But it's hot and windy. Very windy.

I like the weather here in Cali compared to the east coast. Nice and consistent. No 90 degree weather with golf ball size of hail the next day.

It's been mild here for over a week. High of 70-72 - breeze everyday and some nights low as 50.
Should continue this week until Sat/Sun where we could see a high of 79 or 80.

Love where we live here in California as we get a cooling breeze every night and avoid 90% of the heatwaves.

It's 96 in our parking lot by the Expo Center. I love how the local stations and newspapers are talking nonstop about the "heat wave" that is crippling Tri-Met as well as causing traffic jams...wat?

High of 94 today. 89 atm. I have to work on the 4th, but glad I'm off today cuz there's a 60% chance of rain on Friday lol. Gonna throw some fajitas on the pit and enjoy the sun.

Went for a chilly, rainy hike yesterday at the state park outside Golden. On the way back, it was neat to experience 45 degrees to 95 degrees in a 30min drive. We started out soaking wet and cold - hand dexterity was reduced by 90%, seat warmers went on, etc. - and finished the drive with windows down, taking in sunny conditions and completely dried out.
