Crazy winds in the north California area , though in the east bay where I am it is rarely this bad. I woke up to large gusts and found this in my parking lot at work. I usually park there..

It is California... most people have their own avocado trees. We have 4 *two don't produce though*. Heck there are even some at my work. It isn't a question of if you have an avocado tree it is how many varieties do you have?

My next door neighbor has obviously the same type of avocado tree that is the same age and it doesn't produce jack shit lol. Owned.

My now-rental house, when we bought it had an orange, fig, permisson, mandarin orange, and papaya tree.

The papaya tree got sick and died, and we tore out the mandarin orange tree because it was intertwined/choked in the orange tree. The persimmon and fig trees were basically worthless, we ate some oranges but not as many as the rats ate.

Fucking rats.

Went from Las Vegas in the 90s and sunny on Friday, to Minneapolis for this weekend in the 30s and snow, and came back to Las Vegas in the 50s and really windy today. Quite the fun ride of weather.

It's been unusually warm here for fall. Highs in the upper 70's, a few 80's. My AC is still running. This is the time of year when it should really start to cool down around here.

La Nina hit this year (70% chance at least ) so that accounts for the unusual warm fall weather. Some predicted it will actually be neutral this year, and to be honest I think it's 50/50. We had some hot days in TX for example, but technically had less 100+ days than we normally do.

It's finally fucking fall in my part of California. Went to walk outside in a short sleeve shirt and skirt and went back to change into leggings and a hooded jacket I barely got to wear last year. Now my feet are freezing because I've been living in sandals for months lol.

Fall until next week... Supposedly going to start warming up again. So tired of these late in the year heat waves. Maybe I just need to get used to the idea that summer starts in late August and runs through October now.
