basically, we had a bad storm roll through, 40-50mph straight line gusts, pretty much cut the rest of the tree in half, so it fell, hit our entire yard, wrecked the car (of which only had liability coverage since it is an old ass 90 honda accord)

we have tree guys doin work as we speak. well, in the day time anyway. finally gonna get the entire rest of the tree removed and everything, though so i guess blessing in disguise.

Model indications are for numerous violent (EF3+ likely multiple EF5) tornadoes zeroing in on the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. A direct hit to OKC from a major tornado would likely be the largest scale tornado disaster in US history. This will be evolving throughout the day but every major meteorologist I've been reading has said this is the worst forecast they've ever seen.

If you live in Oklahoma at all, much less the high risk area, please be very careful. All schools and universities have closed and are offering shelters. Find somewhere safe and expect the worst.

A dream scenario for a storm spotter like myself. It's sad that research on tornadogenesis has to come at the expense of people and property though.

I would be very hesitant to spot this one -- a cluster of cells like this potentially all producing extraordinarily powerful tornadoes at the same time would pose for a very risky chase. Lethal on any mistake when dealing with huge wedge storms like this.
