104 in the shade. welcome back, burning desert of the central valley.
It's unusually cool in east TN for this time of year. Highs only in the low 80's and in the 50's at night.
Fucking California can't make up it's mind. Here let's have a mini heatwave for 3- 4 days of 95-100 degrees then let's make sure it's cold and windy at night around 50 and toss in some misting showers in the morning..wtf.

Don't complain. The cold nights are whats keeping your apartment/house cool until midday.
We had a few days in the 80s in NY, but it went down to like 50 overnight. Beautiful. I'd take that any day, though I do prefer the mid 70s temp wise.
I work overnights so the cool weather is welcome don't mistake , just such an extreme shift so I never know what to prepare for, lol.
I left my heavy all weather jacket in my car last night and regretted it about 3am.
My ideal summer is high 70's to mid 80's , I'm just thankful for the dry heat vs humidity in Florida where I grew up.

Sounds about right. Lightning, wind, and heavy rain this morning. Then this afternoon after the storm the temp jumped to the 80s.
Heat index is the proper name for "feels like."
Next week is going to suck...
I would say to stay dry to our friends in LA/MS/AL/etc but god damn that hurricane is dumping so much water
It's been oppressively hot this past week. Highs in the mid 90's with very high humidity and heat index of 102. And that's in the shade. Probably higher if your not idk. When I go outside for very long I start to feel sick. There is some road construction going on around here and everytime I pass by them I feel sorry for those guys.

Yea bros, next week is going to suck hard.
An incredibly dangerous air mass will advect into our region Friday through next week. Exceptionally high dew points and skyrocketing temperatures will give way to a stifling air mass. High temperatures ranging from the lower to middle 90’s to peaking near 100 degrees. These temperatures combined with high dew points in the upper 60’s and lower 70’s will give way to dangerous apparent temperatures. Heat indices in many valley areas, especially the Hudson Valley, appear to peak between 103-108 degrees on the hottest days. All Valley areas will take the brunt of the heat.
This type of heat WILL kill you if you are not careful, this type of heat will also put a ginormous strain on our power grid so the potential of rolling brownouts in this period is higher than normal. Higher terrain will be spared the worst of the heat, but will still be stifling up there compare to what they experience.
My body is ready

Seriously Canada looks nicer and nicer every summer
Can we get a source on that?
Saturdays actual high forecast increased to 101 here in CT
Thankfully it'll be nicer this coming week in the high 70s/low 80s here.
Also random question but what weather app do you use?
