to be fair - even if they do have a backup of their files, they have every right to be pissed. Especially considering it's an inconvenience to their customers and could result in a lot of lost revenue. They never outright stated that the files were permanently lost - just deleted. It'd make sense that he tried to play the "On the bright side; you deleted them REALLY fast due to our algorithm" card if they're not permanently lost, and that might very well be the case.
