2014 NFL Off-season Thread: The Prince and the Piece of Shit

I already had one thread dedicated to Richie Incognito this season. Hell, the picture I used turned out to be his Twitter profile picture for God's sake. But the big lug won't shut his fucking mouth, trying to play the victim here and saying "the truth will bury" Jonathan Martin. It's painfully obvious to me that Incognito is a relic, a member of a slowly dying breed of bigots, misogynists, and bullies who use locker room culture as an excuse to communicate their close-minded thoughts in the most base and idiotic ways imaginable. I would like nothing more than for Incognito to never again see an NFL roster, but the sad reality is that he was a Pro Bowler only a year ago, and with many teams in search of offensive line help I'm sure he'll land on his feet. Likewise, I get the feeling Jonathan Martin will have trouble getting a job, despite the claims from some owners, general managers, and coaches that they would take a player like Martin.

On the other end of the spectrum, we have Michael Sam. The senior defensive end at Mizzou publicly announced on Monday that he's gay, even though many people in and around the program knew since August. His is probably the most important announcement of its kind so far in the US, as his selection in the draft and subsequent performance on the field will always be examined through this filter. Here's hoping Sam is able to carve out a long and productive career.

I want Clooney if he somehow falls to us or if we can move up cheaply (like, to #4 for a 3rd rounder or some shit). Otherwise I want Greg Robinson.

For the Brownies, I'm hoping at least they don't trade up. Even if they do take Jonathan Football with the 4th pick, they can use Indy's pick to get a quality receiver or DB. I'd be ecstatic with Bridgewater.

Bridgewater would be great, but Houston needs a QB too, so unless Cleveland trades up, he'll be gone (because I can't see Houston taking Bortles over Bridgewater). And, I can't see Houston trading with Cleveland, given they both need the same position. So then the question is, what does Jacksonville need (apart from everything).

Really hoping Houston goes with the Texas kid in Manziel. Most mocks I've seen have Cleland taking either Manziel or Bortles (who feels like a huge gamble but at least he'd have Gordon and Cameron to throw to).

Houston could easily take Bortles or Manziel #1. Bortles projects really well and Manziel has the swag factor. Houston and Jacksonville could just as easily take Clowney if they don't love one of those top 3 and grab a QB in round 2.

At least Bortles has a higher floor since he is big and can run. All young QBs are a gamble really.
