Came in looking for more on AT&T swallowing DirecTV, hmph..
It's only 50 bil being shuffled around. Oh look, Brad Pitt tossed a beer can.
I love how they're saying that ATT and DirecTV aren't competitors
as if ATT U-verse TV doesn't exist.
Well, technically they aren't because ATT uses terrestrial and DTV uses satellite.
It's vertical integration, not horizontal, so totally ok.
This shit is ridic.
Yay google+ now coming to Twitch! :l

Already has a thread in the streaming section.
I don't know about you guys, but i'm so glad our country doesn't allow monopolies.
unfortunately quite number of countries allows it, especially in asia region. And it usually was the ruling party of the country who behind it, and try to take down/take over any other successful company
personally, i'm looking forward to voting for President Google for the rest of my life.
I'm in favor of most Google acquisitions only because as long as the current heads at Google stay there then they are a benevolent dictator. Once those top guys get replaced by people that value profits and shareholders more than innovation - you, me, and everyone else is completely and utterly fucked. Google is literally Skynet levels of big.
I wouldn't mind if Google buys FiOS off Verizon and converts all into Google Fiber ;o
Considering Google as benevolent is gullible.
Google isn't benevolent at all, but they've found a way to make huge amounts of money by giving their products away for free, so i don't really care, personally.
I guess it's a bit of a stretch to call them benevolent but when compared to other companies that big... Yeah. lol
