This is me soloing a 4-5-5. I apologize for the quality, as I had to re-record it.

The tl;dw is as SCH (and probably other mages), with heals and ballads from trusts, you can run around focusing on killing the trash mobs weak to magic (umbrils and acuexes) while getting a ton of points from Noetic Ascensions. Plus, none of the trash mobs or mimics are really dangerous. There are also some NMs that you can take out, like Behe and the monkey. I recommend having a map open while you do it. Unless you get super-unlucky, you shouldn't need to kill more than a few NMs.

Ah other wiki almost forgot it exists lol. Hmmm it seems it has some that are far awayish and potentially annoying to get so do you think if you were just trying to get the balyd would the extra amount you get from Ra'kaznar be worth it compared to like cirdas or even yorcia?

Hello all, is there a way to solo/duo 1-1-1 Outer with sparks gear? The NM's keep destroying me, can I avoid them somehow?

Heavily depends on jobs, though I'd imagine a sparks Sch, Blm, Rdm, or Geo could solo that if you focused exclusively on Umbrils (2x damage from stone and fire) and Acuex (2x damage from fire and blizzard). Some NMs are soloable, but I wouldn't bother with them with that quality of gear tbh. Unless finding more just isn't working out, I'd stress that there's really very little reason to solo these, you lose nothing by bringing more people.

Yeah using trusts. I always try to bring more people but everyone seems to want to solo. I even shout for it for awhile with no response. So trying to get by solo til I get better gear

If you're doing Outer, you probably have 115 skirmish gear, that would probably do better than sparks gear.

You aren't required to fight any however having the ability to is quite helpful at times as otherwise you might have to wait for them to move or wait for repops of something else with no nm in the way. Plus accidental aggros happen and death can be a loss if you aren't well geared solo. That said you should be able to take on some of the nms on a nuking job with some healer trusts

Did some tests after I got bored looking at the Irongigant in outer while PT was all "nuh magic!".


You can nuke it while it does Turbine Cyclone and so far I have not have had another WS unlock. Seems "weak" to Thunder and still have a ton of MDT tho.

Also using a JP ping they can run out of Turbine Cyclone range each time and not get hit be it at all.
