This sounds kinda silly but I'm disappointed I didn't get to see the cool trailer in the theater. The last two movies I have seen were Kong and Ghost in the Shell and they both had Guardians trailers on them but they were the old ones.

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 (May 5, 2017)

Just got out of the cinema. Honestly prefer it to the first part. The action, comedy, drama, everything was spot-on. And for those fearing that the trailer(s) showed all the highlight: nope.

Might even be my new fav Marvel movie.

Edit: also can definitely confirm 5 after credit scenes. All worth it.

I preferred this one, for reasons that I'll, very vaguely, explain below.

I liked it, but imo the first one was better, but only slightly. Which isn't a bad thing because the first one was way outta left field epicly great.

Also the after credit scenes, one made me literally yell out "FUCK YEAH!!!"

Spoiler thoughts are 100% spoiler, so don't read if you don't want spoilers.

I agree entirely. The whole family angle really hit me in the feels. Every single character had emotional depth to them (well.. maybe not so much Groot, but everyone else). I was actually really impressed by it. Some were heavier then the others but even the small tidbits (like with Drax or Rocket) hit home really hard.

Saw it last night. I agree with people who were saying it was better than the first. It had the same great balance of comedy and action, but this time the character development was better because we already know the cast so the movie really hits the ground running.

I think the issue of which movie is better will be a divisive one. From the looks of the reviews it's gonna come down to how much you liked the new movie smell from the first.

I don't get to see this till Sunday or Monday since wife won't be happy if I go alone (might sneak out tonight while she works). How is 3D? I'd prefer imax but all imax showings are 3D here.

It was pretty good, although I definitely enjoyed more the first one. They are probably equally as good though, or this one might even be better because as some have said, characters see more development. I guess the first one had the surprise factor, you didnt anticipate it was going to be that good and thats hard to beat. Plus it is what started it and they had to risk more not knowing what people reaction was going to be, this one is pretty good but half the thinking was already done by the first one.

I enjoyed it a whole lot. Movie was really good. A lot of character development. Even for the villain which was nice to see. Drax slayed.

On top of it, a local comic shop was at the theater hawking merchandise. A rep from Marvel was at the theater and said he had some free stuff for us. They had game codes for Guardians of the Galaxy by Telltale on the way out. I grabbed one. Expected it to be just episode one. NOPE. Full game. Thanks Marvel bros! Keep that shit rollin!
