Depends on the contract, but most likely it shouldn't.

Definitely the lowest point for the MCU, so far, but has enough important setups to watch for later movies.
Not sure we watched the same movie at all, LOL.

Just saw it a few hours ago with my girlfriend annnnnnd this movie was god damn amazing. Depending on what you came into the movie wanting out of it, also possibly better than Vol. 1 (maybe!). An instant classic at any rate, which will have tons of replay-ability when it hits Blu-Ray/DVD. James Gunn really is a masterful storyteller, and he seems to have begun to craft his own space opera that seems to touch on the very things that makes Star Wars great.

Drax carried these other fools on his back with his lines. Found myself laughing with my girl just about every time he said something. Another thing James Gunn makes you appreciate is his comedic timing in an action movie setting, being able to shove a lot of said comedy literally where ever he wanted with it still feeling natural. Usually in an MCU movie the action literally has to stop for a moment to land a punchline or a joke, but James Gunn allowed many of his to blend in seamlessly, usually with the action happening in the background. Also very much on point with his use of music in the movie, each song literally setting the tone, pace and meaning for every scene.

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

Just saw it last night and absolutely loved it! GotG so far was my favorite group out of the MCU, and they still definitely are. Just such a great cast that does really well playing against each other.

I read a few pages of this thread to see what people thought and wanted to comment about a backstory issue people had:

    Spoiler: show
Peter's mom did have to die because Ego loved her. Some here were saying why not stay with her until she died, but Ego specifically mentioned he has to keep returning to the home planet to stay alive. It stands to reason that if he had stayed on Earth with her until her death, that would have been too long away from the home planet meaning he would no longer be immortal and can't finish his plan. He probably did that with all the children. Rush to a planet, impregnate them, come back right away, rinse, repeat.

Actually, people were wondering more why he wouldn't just take her with himself to his planet

You take a woman to a home planet and then keep leaving her every few days to fuck other women on other planets and see how that works out for you.

Easily. Iron Man 2 found a way to include the briefcase suit and not make it look ridiculous.

For those who want to meet the Guardians in person, you can now meet them in Disney parks.
Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando has meet and greet with Starlord and Baby Groot:

Disney's California Adventure in Anaheim has a meet and greet with Adult Groot:

And of course, Disney's California Adventure now features Mission: Breakout, as you and Rocket Raccoon bust the Guardians out of The Collector's prison:

Best part about the new Guardians ride:
    Spoiler: show
    Rocket: Is that...Disneyland?!

Rode it twice today. Ride was so fucking good, and just like the movie, the different songs they used just builds on the ride and adds to it.
