Cross Realm Normal/Heroic Raiding Is Live

We’ve recently implemented an often requested feature to enable cross-realm raiding for Siege of Orgrimmar. Cross-realm BattleTag™ and Real ID friends can now raid together and take the fight to Garrosh on Normal or Heroic difficulty. Players will be able to earn greater rewards such as Reins of the Kor'kron War Wolf or the title of Conqueror/Liberator of Orgrimmar; both of which aren’t available to be earned within Flexible or Raid Finder difficulty.

This change is currently live.

Folks have been waiting for this one for a long time.

Wasn't even aware cross-server guilds existed, been out of the loop for so long. Very interesting since if I want to get back into raiding my schedule is pretty limited for most guilds on my server.

it's not that there's cross-server guilds, it's just that now you could get a trial cross-server raiding the current tier without having to transfer first

Ahhh got ya. And now even after the trial you wouldn't really have to transfer servers if you were the type to only raid with said guild and not be otherwise social like a lot of people tend to be. My old raid guild had maybe 15% of the total members on during non-raid days.

In WoD, you will need to be on the same server to raid mythic. Otherwise, I don't think anything else is server bound anymore.

it's awesome if you're 555 and looking for a group for a raid that drops 540 loot

i'm sure there are normal groups being put together now. might have to be 570 to get in them, but i bet they exist

normal groups tend to have about the same or slightly lower than flex groups, 550ish if they're starting fresh, and then want 560+ if it's at garrosh or whatever


meanwhile every flex I've seen is asking for at least 550, 555 or more for garrosh, and won't even respond to a 14/14h whispering from my 576 main about joining on my 530 mage
