Recently found a 4th Gen iPod Touch on my exercise walk
Last semester, some classmates and I went to Camas, WA and flew a few vintage and experimental aircraft for a class project. The planes we flew are owned and operated by a local flying club. This morning, I woke up to an e-mail from the club president saying they are giving each participating student (there was 4 of us) $2000 in scholarship funds to put toward our flight lessons. We were also invited to go out and get free flight lessons whenever we wanted! I'm happy. Now if only it would stop raining for a few days.
My girlfriend moves in a week from today, I got up to running a 5K, continuing to lose weight, recently won a big contract at work, and baseball starts soon.
I just landed a really great software engineering internship that has a very high chance of becoming a very nice job when I graduate a year or so from now. Can't even describe how much of a fuck yeah it is for me.
I haven't killed myself yet is that a random win ?
That;s amazing Ace! I live down and San Diego with my boyfriend, but he did some flight lessons up in North Cal. He has his licence but hasn't done any flying in years. I'll let him know that you got a random scholarship, maybe he'll take it up again. (Momma needs a private pilot, ya'know.)
But also, he loved flying, and I know he does miss it.
It's really expensive unless you can get into a partnership and buy a plane together or lease flight time from a club or something. Just owning your own plane and flying it ~100hrs/yr is $5000/yr just in maintenance of a single-engine plane. Not to mention fuel, hangar fees, airport fees, etc. Gotta get your passengers to pay for their flights! Maybe that's why he quit flying?
Have to commute for training in 5 weeks. Normally they request you take a county car if you have to drive more than a few miles each way. Explain to the training coordinator that I am a one car household and I would essentially be without my car for 9 days (pick up friday before work leaves and return monday after training) and she approved me being reimbursed for miles. Fuck yea 165 dollar check for a week of driving.
I dug out a GCN and Double Dash with a friend last weekend, for a few Cups -- first time playing in 5+ years.
DD skills came back quickly, dominated King Boo's punk ass, and recovered from 7th to 1st on the final lap of Wario Coliseum. UUHN!
I win every day I dab, and I've won again today.
gf texted me a pic of a bottle of KY. wut wut, in the butt
Getting paid $8,000 for a 6 month project that entails literally 1 week of work that a freshman level computer scientist could perform.
Thanks, Air Force.
I won an internet argument once. It was the greatest day of my life.
My friends make fun of me for getting up at 3:15 am for work at 4am.
I laugh at them because my Thursdays I'm home, drunk, and napping by 1pm.
Major win/last laugh.
