Couldn't sleep last night and sent in a ton of resumes. Got a call back today for one I was seriously interested in. Basically after a short phone interview wants my references to check out and seemed really excited about my background. Location is close to home and would be same pay to start ( which was my goal). Not getting my hopes up but I'm also going to give it my all because my feel my soul is dying here.
I pretty much only do vodka as a mixer. Vodka and Redbull is still one of my favorite starter drinks, though I hear Vodka with Rockstar Punched is good. Though if I'm having a nice meal, i'll usually finish with a cognac of some sort. Right now though I'm too poor to do anything more then Crown or a mid range 12 year Scotch.
If I am in a restaurant that has a signature cocktail that has vodka, I'll give it a try, otherwise I only have it while tailgating for football. Some people like to start game day with mimosas, but I'm not big on champagne, so I just have a screwdriver instead.
Dude is talking about losing weight and drinking.
Having done that, vodka is your best bet.
I also just love vodka. I'll drink brown liquor just the same but my preference is vodka.
Have you had Bourbon lol
Yes. I've also had vodka. I like both. I like vodka more.
I like both too but Vodka definitely goes down easier. I mean Everclear really gunna do the job if you going for high abv but yeah no thanks
Also wine pretty good for getting you drunk easy and pretty cheap where I am though guess you could get lolboxwine cheap anyways. I got this desert wine recently that's like 19.5% but doesn't taste alcoholic at all. Shit is dangerous. But generally pretty bad calorie/carb to alcohol ratios.
I like bourbon or other whisky more.
My mom was also an alcoholic and her drink of choice was vodka. She gave it to me accidentally one time when I was little instead of seltzer. I also burst blood vessels in my eyes from throwing up after taking 12+ shots of vodka for a friends birthday in college. Basically all my vodka experiences are terrible so I hate it and it makes me sick even tasting it.
Wine dehydrates me terribly. And, especially with having a high tolerance nothing good happens with wine. The only time I was legit scared I was possibly dying was the morning after downing two bottles of Cabernet Sauvignon.
Yeah I try to always drink a decent amount of water when drinking alcohol... or any heavy carb comsumption. Quick dehydration is the worst. Haha yeah wines not for everyone. Gf is on the low carb diet for blood sugar issues... so when we went thru several wine bars/wineries together one day she also felt like she was going to die. And that's when we found out definitely can't do something like that 2 days in a row. Luckily we picked up some Brandy when we toured Korbel and that was just fine it seems. Speaking of which Brandy pretty good too in terms actually tasting good and being low on carbs/calories. Also if you ever up in wine country Korbel has a free sampling of like 4-5 champagnes after the free tour though area is probably flooded right now since it's right near the river
try whiskey and pure leaf black tea.
pure leaf black tea is pretty much just black tea and water, no additives. mix with whiskey, and it completely removes the harshness of every liquor i've mixed it with, we tried kraken black spiced rum too, whiskey is just especially noticeable how smooth the black tea makes the drink.
i've tried green tea too, not bad. green tea and some good sake, good stuff.
my favorite chillin at home drink is a white russian though.
While on the subject, finally pulled the trigger and made an appointment for a sleep study. Hopefully can ween myself from getting shitfaced every other night in order to get a full nights worth of sleep.
On top of that, found a great boxing gym to help me get back in fighting shape. So that should definitely help.
I've been lazy again, but I always sleep better after exercising. I believe this is a known thing, but even on the same amount of sleep I have more energy if I stay in shape.
But for now I've been a lazy fatass. Started getting back on my bike three days a week and then got the flu. With this congestion and cough added on to my asthma it's torture trying to do any real cardio until I shake this thing.
I'm odd on sleep and exercise. I don't really sleep longer and sometimes even sleep less... but it's much more regular so none of those random 1-2 hour nights and much deeper. Though this primarily only seems to help me when done in the afternoon/evening. I was getting back into running a bit and it was helping but whatever is wrong with my leg has greatly discouraged from being on my feet for longer than 20-30 minutes at a time and so I've slipped back and it's been a struggle to maintain my muscle mass and bike riding form
