I just wish other major metros were expanding their housing capacity like NYC is. So much wasted economic potential because of housing undersupply in economically booming markets. Zoning and NIMBY bullshit is the worst, the only way out of soaring housing prices is by building, up.

fucking Rochester mn is growing fast because mayo clinic is reaching critical mass, and there's 3 types of housing in town: shitty rentals, luxury rentals, and buying regular homes. looking at that market, one might come to the conclusion that there's a niche for affordable, decent quality rentals. WRONG MOTHERFUCKER WE'RE BUILDING MORE LUXURY RENTALS AND MANSIONS. ITS MANSIONS ALL THE WAY DOWN BRO

tho I will say the trailer parks are looking more and more attractive. there are a few new ones that are really quite nice.
