So decided to take bike into work and see if we had tools there to adjust it and had boss look at it. Adjusting the front derailleur was an absolute bitch as the clearances are like a few millimeters in several different areas so adjusting it one way will make one side of the chain fine but the other not or both will be fine but then the sprockets will catch and on top of that basically had to retighten everything while holding it down hard because springs and wire tension and shit. Win is it seems to work enough that I have something to ride until I find a new bike. Fail is the rear brakes are slightly worse and the front ones basically don't start operating until I've almost pulled all the way down so a lot of my faster stops had some skidding today. And being hydraulic I'm not so confident fucking with those. Also bearings in the crank set which have been getting noticeable are definitely worse now. Makes me all the more glad I didn't go in and spend a bunch of money getting some fixes done.

I've been asking my wife for two years to give me the Macy's gift cards we got from our wedding so I can buy new sheets. She keeps telling me she'll do it herself and that she stashed them somewhere. Two years later, still no new sheets and she's still complaining that we need new sheets.

I would be excited about sheets too.

But I can't say much because I've always gotten excited about household stuff. Every time I walk past new stoves, washers/dryers or any type of appliance I get excited but then remember I don't have a house lol.

Part of it is because I almost launched my current trimmer across the yard in my fury the other day a few minutes before ordering the new one. Another part of it is that this one is battery powered and I'm skeptical of how good it is coming from gas forever. I hate my trimmer so, so much. I can't even describe it.

I have a Ryobi battery one and it works well, but the batteries have been shit. I have one working battery out of the 4 I did have. I keep them inside with other supplies, I charge them before I store them over the winter, I remove them from the trimmer when I'm done, but they still get fucked up.

Noah has a lateral lisp that will correct itself over time. We utilized the DART program here in Pittsburgh to get his assessment. The linguist they sent said that he is extremely smart. His vocabulary usage is around that of an 8 year old(he'll be 4 in August.) So they made an appointment with their behavioral specialist because it's a part of the assessment.

Noah is eligible for classes in regulating his emotions. Not normally a win right? He needs help dealing with how he interacts with "less intelligent children." I've noticed over time how smart he is but I figured it was me just being his dad saying he's smart and being biased. Apparently that's not the case.
