Work network is shitting the bed. Can't login for my afternoon shift but they still gotta pay as it's not an outside (ie ISP) issue. Woo.

Finally got to the GT300/500 section in GT6 (<3 JGTC). This past week I've finally learned the tracks Mt Panorama, Daytona Road, Monza, Spa, and Nurburgring GP/D. Don't know them as well as Trail Mt but well enough to not rely on map/line. Not that big a deal but I'm pretty happy about it, feels good man. Also fell in love with the HSV (dat engine sound).
That one massive shit where you're driving home and struggling to make it on time, then you sit down on the toilet and blow it the fuck up. Feels good mang.
You ever have a rocket propelled shit? Where you have to shit so bad and then you finally get there and it blasts off into the toilet with the toilet water all over your ass?
i call those the mortar
Like that kid from Toy Story 1, "Its the Big One..."
possibly, actually. lots of sugar can speed up the digestive system. maybe try diet soda or water or something?
LET ME GO HOME EARLY SO ICAN CATCH GAME OF THRONES ,AWWWWW YEAH
A week ago the gf and I go in for our 20 week ultrasound, so far as we knew everything went well until we got a call later that day saying we'd have to be sent to sick kids hospital to go and get a echocardiogram done on the baby, and they wouldn't tell us anything else. So we wait for days, not having a clue(other than what we were able to find when we searched online, which was that it had something to do with the heart), till we finally get a call with an appointment date.
We have an appointment with our DR the same day about 2hrs before the speacialist, he still won't tell us anything because he doesn't want to worry us(cause waiting around 4 days not knowing a thing isn't worrysome enough.........). Get to the speacialist, takes about 45 min to do the echochardiogram and she explains to us that everything is okay!!!! They initially had a concern about the size of the Aorta and the other vein, but that the ultrasound just wasn't detailed enough, so we had to do this test.
We've had a few concerns through the pregnancy so far, but to be finally given word that everything is now okay and seems normal, it's a HUGE weight lifted off my shoulders I've been carrying for months now, especially over the past week. To watch our baby on the ultrasound and see her(gf swears it's a she, and we aren't finding out) so active and moving around was absolutely awesome and amazing!!
Oh, and we just bought a dishwasher, fuck yea no more dishes!!
Nice! glad the baby is OK :D
I am too! Thank you
That is great news! I have no idea why they wouldn't tell you anything for half a week though, that's kinda brutal.
I got in to teacher's college, despite having no volunteer class-time hours to speak of for the 3rd portion of a 3 part application. I got into my 3rd choice but I'll take it.
It's really good timing because September 2014 is the last year it is a 1 year program. I'll finish 2015 instead of 2017 if I reapplied and entered next year, when becomes a 2-year.
It's pretty normal, not just with babies but in the medical field in general. Don't want to tell anybody anything unless you're sure it's true.
When my daughter was born they did the normal newborn hearing test, the woman told us she failed on the left side then just walked out the door and left it at that(she passed the next day, was just fluid in the ear). It was shitty not knowing what that meant, or if my daughter was deaf in one ear, but I know she just legally couldn't tell us. A lot of techs are allowed to run the tests but not allowed to interpret the results, even if they know for sure what it is/means, just legal bullshit.
It sucked no doubt, I imagine even more so for her, but in the end all that matters was the news we got back! We still have to do a follow up in 8 weeks, but the specialist was confident that all was well
Why you ask? Waiting for your turn I take it?
saying nothing for a whole week is bullshit and idiotic. the way to approach that would have been "We can't get the resolution we'd like with the ultrasound, so we'd like to have you go in for a whatsit." Simple, true, doesn't panic anyone. I'm sure my doctors have sent me in for tests without telling me exactly what they're looking for, but they always give me some reason for the test. Even if it's just "Well it's been a while, I think we should take another look."
I won't argue that lol
They didn't even so much as let us know what it regarded, they just told us the procedure was an Echochardiogram, and so we were able to conclude it had something to do with the heart from looking up the procedure. I get that the technicians can't say anything, but it was our actual Dr who had called us to let us know we had to visit Sick Kids Hospital, and even in our appointment with him prior to seeing the specialist, he sat there and said he's not letting us know anything, and that the specialist would explain all.
But w/e, we know now, and couldn't be happier about the news
Got invited to participate in a private tribute run before the Boston marathon this year, I feel honored to have been invited.
Now, to start running.... lol
