You can park at Disney Springs for free and take the Disney buses to the park, but expect that to add 30 minutes or so of travel time for you.
We are going to purchase the annual passes which include parking so that fee is a nonissue.
GG, annual passes are the way to go. If you already have one for Disney Land you can get a discount for being a pass holder to both.
Yeah definitely. We have DL passes, but they are running out in April and we probably won't renew because we are going to use that money towards the vacation. Probably can't survive a whole year without Disney so may get a day pass to DL at some point just to hold us over.
If it wasnt for "maintenance fees" it'd be more worth it for a time share. In the end you're paying so many "taxes" on the thing that you might as well use your money elsewhere or buy property you only use a few times a year.
With things like Airbnb, I'm more inclined to do the second but that takes effort.
This is the reason my dad is just letting his timeshare go to collection. He just bought a house and doesn't care about the effect on his credit score. I was thinking of taking it over, but I don't want to pay the maintenance fees.
It's too bad, really. The timeshare is in Kissimmee at Orange Lake Country Club. It's a two bedroom timeshare in the summer. Sat through a 45 min timeshare thing during our honeymoon to get free dinner and the guy looked up the value. Think it was still valued at $30k. Nice resort, but we only ever bank it and even then the wife and I use Airbnb almost all the time. The only time it's been used in the past 6 years is two weeks banked for our honeymoon.
Exactly. And who likes going to the exact same spot every year? Unless you do one of those point system time shares, at which point the maintenance fee just you paying in advance year round for the room you pay the exact same money for.
Yeah the points ones are even worse. When Wyndham took over RCI they tried to force our account to a points system. My mom flipped her shit and had them change everything back to the weeks system.
Unfortunately, my in-laws recently bought into a timeshare thing in Florida in October. Now they're trying to get the whole family to cram into a two bedroom unit every year and nobody wants to go. I doubt it'll be used much.
I don't understand going to the same place every year for vacation. It would defeat the purpose for me.
One more time: Timeshares are a giant money pit and a tax on the poor.
We go to Newport, RI every year and it's really nice. It's a little different for us, though, since we tow the boat down and sail on nice days.
Do you have kids?
Wat.
Damn.
Eh, you're paying for a place to park your boat in between outings on vacation. I doubt most people use timeshares for the same reason lol.
I've gotten an offer to do porn before at Megacon, but it wasn't gay porn and I don't recall making a thread about it.
There's a guy that comes to all the local anime cons and mainly scouts out girls to sign up for his porn agency and one of the girls he was with told him "I want that one, give him a card"
