Woops, yeah, forgot to edit that into OP since it's like the only one so far that has a level restriction.

I can fill in the drops/ilvl requirements/EXP gains from 26-28 as soon as my highest level retainer gets back, if we're gunning to have a complete listing of what they can hunt/how much EXP.
All of them give 30,000 EXP per venture and require an average item level of at least 10. I should be able to fill out 28-30 and some of 30+ before the end of the day.
Worth noting that it seems like...
As level rises, retainer takes LESS TIME on lower level specific hunts (like my lv20 MRD only takes 50m for 1-10s)
As stats (ilvl?) rises, retainer YIELDS MORE on specific hunts. Had to gear my MRD up to reach i10 (from like nearly naked i1), hit i15, the 11-20 stuff showed yield 7 instead of yield 5.
Yeah, I had noticed the yield increasing on the lower level stuff as I was going, but I didn't bother to check if that was a function of ilvl or just retainer level.
Complaint. Stupid Retainer timers are wrong when you use different systems. Retainers keep telling me their ventures are done when I'm at work when they're really not. =/
Kind of worthless now, but Level 24 drop for DoW/M is Diremite web
Retainer just brought me back a moogle wand lol
I think it'd be sweet if peeps started posting retainer level and retainer ilvl along with the cool items they bring back.
Also what direction they were facing when they interacted with the retainer bell.
I know you're being sarcastic about trying to find consistency in something that's pretty seemingly random, but it's really not that huge of a stretch to think that maybe retainer ilvl has a difference in the quality of stuff you get, considering it provably does have an influence on the hunting mode.
Nobody's going to have a Lv50 retainer at this point, so the max iLv people could possibly have at this point is maybe in the 30s if they've been going crazy at this, and that's only if you were gearing your retainers beyond what's necessary (I only bother to upgrade gear whenever I get the iLv cockblock, so my retainers are primarily still naked). I think that's enough to discount the idea that iLv has anything to do with it, unless you think that SE is doing some sort of iLv to current Level comparison, which would be weird, since current level doesn't appear to have any role in determining what kind of stuff you get.
I'm not sure if anyone's said it at this point, but you can't equip Grand Company gear on your retainer. So frustrating. I hit lv20 on my retainers last night and it wouldn't let me give them the generic all-jobs lv20 Soldier's (or whatever it is) set. It kept giving me the "You must be enlisted in the GC to wear this" error message, and I'm definitely still in the Maelstrom.
I guess it depends on how they did the "You class needs to be able to equip it" check, if it is just a check that your class is on the list of classes then you could, but technically your class couldn't equip something that is from the wrong GC, if that makes sense.
The glamour system seems to be pretty thorough about checking for current equippable status before successfully displaying a glamour.
I tried to glamour my Weaver's Gibus to a Dalamud Horn (because what is more awesome than a mage in a top hat?) but it just displays the horn. I ended up glamouring the Gibus to my Artisan's Spectacles, and it shows the top hat on WVR and the specs on anything else.
I'm surprised they let you glamour dated gear onto current gear, given the above. My SCH is running around looking like a mid-level Gladiator because of that (and I'm left wishing I had more dated crap left over from 1.23). Though the odds of this getting patched seem pretty good given how much SE likes micromanaging the playerbase.
Lv31 DoW/DoM starts with Formic acid for almost 40,000 exp. Tempted to keep doing night milk <_<
