GET HYPE SON!
I get the feeling this is going to be a retelling of OHMSS more and more.
Any word on any posters or swag for early showings like they did for Skyfall?
So hyped.
hnnng
Anyone seen/heard the new song?
I personally can't stand it, way too high pitched. I've never heard any of Sam Smith's songs before, hope they're not all like this...
No, that is not how he typically sings.
I was also looking forward to this because Sam Smith is a perfect pick for a Bond theme and this is the first time the music outdid the singer.
The song is pretty cool; love the "classic" sound they went with again but I really don't like Sam Smith's voice at all. :/
The song is perfect. His voice just doesn't fit. After listening a few times I don't like it, and I normally like Sam Smith.
Adele was The bomb.
If they'd dropped the vocals an octave, it would be classic Bond. The music itself and Sam's style are fine.
Yes, that's probably it.
I like the song except for the chorus. Too high pitched...
James Bond 24 Mission Impossible Spectre Nation
I've been on a counter-tenor kick - specifically with Jonsi, so this didn't bother me as much. I rather liked it, but the final bit was too long in high-pitched tones I will agree.
Stopped midway.
sam smith is the truth, yall niggas stop hating. too high pitched, you say?
That was just ugh. Modern music sucks, glad I stayed away.
The trouble with his high pitch is that I can barely understand what he's saying.
It's not Sam Smith I don't like. I sing counter tenor, so the pitch doesn't bother me.
It just doesn't suit this style.
Adele was terrible, it was like she held back instead of going like she does on her own songs. I was expecting her to go much higher and she didnt.
Alicia keys and jack white sucked because it sounded like it was recorded in a garage.
Both songs were great, just underperformed and terribly produced in respective order.
I wont listen to the new one til in theater.
I love nearly all of the Bond tunes, even Garbage and Chris Cornell's ones, but I draw the line at Madonna's and Jack White's attempts. Sam's 'written in 20 mins' song almost puts me off watching the film.
