Bautista fit the role of hired goon, ala Oddjob and Jaws. Loved his weird, double barreled handgun. Glad he had no lines as he's a pretty shitty actor, like early Arnie levels bad.

The car was woefully underutilized and it was such a nice looking car.

None of the stunt scenes really jumped out of me which is a shame because Bond movie set pieces are the highlight for me. I'd watch it again on netflix sometime. If you like Bond movies for what they are you'll appreciate this movie.

    Kingsman owns this movie though.

I found it hilarious at the complete disregard for public safety and well being in this movie. Opens with a building exploding in the middle of a day of the dead parade that not a single person cared about, the train in which they should have been arrested for are allowed to fuck after it happens.

It was okay though. Didn't blow me away but didn't make it hate it.

The plane scene in the alps doesn't?

Also someone near our group blurted out 'Battlefield pilot!' to their friends in the theater during the opening helicopter scene, got a chuckle out of our group too

It really felt like a modern take on an old Bond movie, rather than the realistic movies which have preceded it. I'd say the best example was the torture scene where Blofeld is torturing Bond and monologuing. It was so convoluted and ridiculous, especially when you contrast it with the scene in CR where Le Chiffre tortures Bond.

The alps scene was ok but the most memorable scene in it for me was seeing Bautista go through a windshield.

Meh. Considering how instrumental main villian was part of James life, he was very boring. Not as bad as Qos, but pretty close. I fell asleep last fight scene.

So we can all agree: Rogue Nation > Spectre.

I saw this a few days ago. Was a bit meh. My main gripe is always having to have a love interest for Bond. Who is the love interest aimed at - men or women? I'm female and can't stand when they force 'love' into a story where it can exist without it. They were only together for a few days and suddenly she's so in love with Bond. You know she's either going to be dead or left him for the next film to happen. Either that or they reboot it with a new Bond and she doesn't exist anymore.

Basically, have a woman in it for eye candy for the lads and a passing shag for Bond, but don't make it out to be the be all and end all love to end all loves.

There was also not much tension (for me) in the film. I mean, during Silva's introduction to Bond I thought anything could happen. When Bond met his nemesis in this film, I was bored. Bored during the observatory building and bored during the needle scene. I think him wearing shoes with no socks put me right off him /shudder.

I did like the flashbacks to previous villains/significant people though, however brief it was.

Apparently most of her was left on the cutting room floor. During production they made a huge deal about her being an "age appropriate love interest" and really hyped it up; I can't wait for the home release so we can see what all they cut out from her story.

I'll never understand by Skyfall is thought of as better than Casino Royale considering Skyfalls horrible third act.

Spectre runs into the issue of trying to reference so many previous Bonds it almost stops being its own movie at points. There's self-referential and then there's running down a checklist of Bondisms. The culmination of all Bond's pain being Blofeld saying 'yup, it was me.' was weak and Waltz wasn't given much to do as *the* big bad Blofeld. Telly Sevalas he was not.

I can't hate a Bond flick but this won't be of the memorable ones I suspect.

Finally saw it. Was alright, not amazing though. Blofeld was not as good as I had hoped.

Honestly the last Mission Impossible was a better version of this movie.

Man, I barely caught this movie in theaters, what the fuck? All the theaters in the area had taken it out this thursday, only one had it for the rest of the weekend. I asked them what the deal was and they said it was due to bad turn-out. So shitty.

I thought it was a great Bond film, but maybe only for diehards. The story had me interested the whole time (well, the data collection bit rang a little close to Skynet.. but, meh, Bond is always topical, so I guess with NSA stuff..).

Next to Skyfall this was one of the most important Craig films due to the background story
    Spoiler: show

of Blofeld alone. I know a lot of people just went in for "hey cool, Bond, weeee", but no, you were supposed to go in thinking how this is the movie that defines Blofeld: Who he is, why he is, and future set ups. Blofeld is the base for a lot of past and current villains.

Blofeld is an extremely important character who appears in 7 other films, but now.. now we finally know more about him, and for a chance to finally give him a proper set up for movie(s) for him and spectre to be awesome.

Last fight was meh? You guys must not remember how the other Blofeld fights have went.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ernst_...lm_appearances

Very lackluster in the other films, this was much better. I am psyched to see the next few Bond films to flesh out the rest of the story. It's going to be amazing.

Serra also mentioned how this was a throw back to a lot of old Bond files as well, I too felt that was true, the movie felt truly nostalgic in a modern settings.

I went with another group of people who are soso fans, and they all said what the majority of other people are saying, that it was meh, but not until I reminded them this was all about Blofeld did it sink in a little bit.

When he stated that he now goes by Blofeld and not his other name, I clapped and cheered, oh man, we all knew it was going to happen, but finally revealed.

Can not wait for the next movie.

I actually really disliked Blofeld in this film. He went from a villain who through his education and life experiences came to the conclusion that humanity needed to be led by a powerful leader, to instead "my daddy gave too much attention to you, I'm gonna get you!"

My take was that daddy issues were the initial catalyst, and it went from there as you initially stated.

Blofeld's history in the books is so much better than the shit Pervis and Wade gave us.

The torture scene was pretty lame, considering how viceral Casino's was. Blofeld drills into Bond's skull and he walks that off? lmao.

We're back to an invincible character after 2.5 movies of trying to make Bond human.
